Booked this sitter for 8 nights, unfortunately, the day before drop off they had an emergency and only informed me on the day but failed to tell me that they would be away and had left the care of my dog with family members. As a dog owner, it is the first few days that is most important when leaving family pets with sittters and regular updates to provide reassurance that our pets have settled in well. This sitter failed to do the very basics of bonding with Leo and I have had to ask continuously for updates daily and all I got was “he’s getting on fine” or “yep, he’s fine”. Not to mention I was abroad during this time and felt very anxious and worried for the well-being of Leo. I was eventually sent a few what I would describe cold photos that clearly showed Leo was unhappy and had no affection whatsoever - these were sent on day 3!!!! It made being away from him and leaving him with a complete stranger so unbearable that I had to reach out to Rover emergency support for help and seek alternative dogsitter as I felt that she did not have the experience or passion for caring for dogs and have simply relied on family members to look after other people’s pets. She said my dog bites which I find hard to believe as we have used Rover dog boarding services a few times and for long periods, not to mention repeat bookings and have not once had this said about Leo. Clearly she had failed to bond and build any trust with Leo and has made this experience for us the worst dog sitting service we have ever received through Rover. I don’t believe she has the experience in looking after dogs, although she has two dogs of her own, it doesn’t mean she looks after them all the time or has understanding of other breeds. Even when we had Leo collected, another family member was walking Leo and his leash had not even been put on him properly, this clearly indicates she has no care or affection or even the slightest remorse for the ordeal she has put Leo and myself during the 3 worst nights we unfortunately had to endure. Disappointed is an understatement, she should have been transparent from the start. I would have understood if she had to cancel our booking the day before when she knew about her emergency as she needed to focus her attention on that matter. I would not recommend this sitter on the basis that I don’t believe she has the experience or capability to understand the importance of bonding with dogs of different breeds and relies on family members to “help” look after dogs supposedly in her “care”.

Shivani has looked after my two dogs for 12 days in the past and my experience alongside my dog's experience was very well and the service was very high standard.. I strongly recommend her... she loves dogs. cares for each one of them as if it's her owns.. Walking, loo breaks, meals are given on times and most best thing is she always update me with pictures of them
