Pet care experience
I recently moved to Grand Lake from Lincoln, NE for a position with the Forest Service. I have always been a lover of animals great and small, and I have over 15 years of experience in pet sitting. I have 2 dogs of my own: a Labrador Retriever (Tiqa) and blind German Shepherd (Walter). I also had a 20-year-old Ragdoll cat (Daktari) who passed in 2021, so I have plenty of geriatric cat experience under my belt. I can administer medications in any form, including injection.

Shiana understands my cats and isn't bothered that the kitties watch her from a distance. It's hard for me to leave my kitties but I don't worry about them with Shiana stopping in every day. I really enjoy the photos she sends me.

I find that pets handle an owner's absence better if they get to stay in their own home, so I provide in-home pet sitting. My goal is to keep your pets' schedules as similar to their regular days as possible while you are away. It would be an honor to be entrusted with the care of the furry/feathery/scaly members of your family!

Before walking or sitting your pet, I would like to know what commands your dog knows and any rules of the house that I might need to enforce in your absence. All breeds are welcome!
A typical day
I would love to take your dog for walks in your neighborhood, or I am willing to transport them in my Subaru Crosstrek to a nearby park, trail, or dog park for exercise. Your pets and I can play any of their favorite games during my visit.

Availability
I do have a full-time job, working Monday through Friday (8:00-4:30), so my midday availability is largely dependent upon your proximity to Granby. I do have the option for occasion telework, and my weekends are usually completely free.
