Sheryl’s Doggie B&B

Pet care experience

Hello, I hope you and your pup are having a Pawsome day.! My name is Sheryl and I’m one of the biggest dog lovers you’ll ever meet. I have had multiple dogs since I was a young child and they truly are my passion and my first love. My family refers to me as the “Dog Lady” because they know how much I love and gravitate towards them all. I would like to ask you to please read my entire profile and ask me any questions you might have. I’m an open book. I appreciate your time and consideration, and the opportunity to care for your beloved family pup. I am a full-time doggy mama, a mother of two adult children who live on their own. My BA is in Social Work, but I now choose to love and pamper dogs for a living. Nothing could be better. I am home Full-time, have a fenced yard and have the ability to provide 24 hour love and care. At this time I am only able to host laid back furbabies who are more passive in nature. My girls love having new friends over, but prefer pups that have a calm demeanor. They can’t wait to meet your beloved family member. Your pup will get all the TLC, love, exercise and protection they require and they will be loved as I love my own girls. We will spend our time together playing with toys, snuggling, running in the yard together, and just spending quality time making him / her feel at home. Your dog also has the opportunity to make new friends and socialize with my dogs during his/her visit. I offer Doggie Day Care hours from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00pm. If your hours fluctuate and hours vary, we can discuss that. My evenings are generally my time to focus on my own pups and unwind from our active day.. I appreciate you understanding that I need time to rejuvenate too, as I spend every moment with my pup guests throughout the day. I also offer Dog Boarding too. Boarding rates are for is a 24 hour period. Example: Drop off at 9:00 AM one day to the next day at 9:00 AM, etc. I am more than happy to keep your pup as long as you need me to. I try to be as flexible as possible to help as much as I can. If you need me to care for your pup later into the evening on the day of pick up, I can happily accommodate and add a day of day care. i have 6 small dogs of my own, ranging in age from 5-12. I have experience with puppies, seniors, pups who experience anxiety, as well as deaf and blind pups and those with special needs. I promise that I will provide an abundance of support and reassurance to ease any fears and provide comfort. It is my goal to help make the easiest transition possible for you and your dog. It's very important for me to know your dog's daily routine so I can coordinate our day as close to the norm as possible. Like a child, routine helps dogs feel more comfortable and secure. Examples, If your dog has tummy issues, anxiety, is scared of loud noises, is food aggressive, doesn’t like storms or going out and getting his or her feet wet, these are things I should be aware of ASAP so that I'm better prepared for his / her needs before they arrive for their stay. The more information you provide me, the better I can care for your pup. I will send you photos and videos of your furbaby so that you are able to see how they are doing throughout their stay with me. I also encourage communication, and I welcome any questions you have while away. You are free to contact me at any time to inquire about how your dog is doing while he / she is in my care. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my desire to love and care for your pup. I look forward to meeting you and your pup at the meet & greet. Sincerely, Sheryl

Sheryl's whole life revolves around the care of animals. She goes out of her way to make sure your pet is treated like one of her own. If you want someone who goes the extra mile for your pet, look no further. You won't find anyone who will devote every waking second caring for and loving your dog like she does. She sends pictures and videos during the entire stay so you never have to wonder how they are doing. She makes sure she knows the habits and behaviors of all the dogs she takes care of so that she can make sure they have the best possible stay in her home. Don't hesitate to book her for your furry family member. They will feel like they are at a doggie resort.

I booked a very long vacation for my dog, 23 days. And am so glad to have found Sheryl. She took wonderful care of my dog. I was updated everyday and every night with pictures and video. I was kept informed of daily activities my dog was doing. Sheryl followed instructions perfectly and I never felt uncomfortable or doubtful about leaving my pet under her care. When i returned, Sheryl was even kind enough to leave me and my pet a gift. Thanks to Sheryl, I had a wonderful vacation with my family and will never hesitate to book Sheryl in the future if I need a sitter again.

I am blown away by the kindness, love, and attention that Sheryl gave my dogs during their visit. She is a wonderful person and deserves far more than 5 stars (if only I could give them!). I wish she would move to Seattle so she could watch Leo on a more regular basis, haha. Thank you, Sheryl!

Information Sheryl G. would like to know about your pet

My favorite breeds are Chihuahuas and Jack Russels, but I love them all. I prefer smaller and medium breeds, as my dogs are fearful of larger breeds. If you send me a request to watch your dog, I would appreciate your responses to the following questions. Thank you. Each pup must have the following if in my care, prior to booking to ensure the health & safety of all the dogs in my care. 1. Is your dog current on all vaccines, heartworm and flea prevention? Photo of vet record, with current date uploaded to Rover required for verification 2. Credit card MUST be on file with your vet. Vet name & phone number must be on your pet profile on Rover. Please upload a photo of a a statement from vets office, on vets letterhead to to verify your card is indeed on file with your vet. This is solely for the purpose of an emergency. I will contact you first if any trip to the vet is required. A $20 fee will be added to stay for transportation costs to & from vet. 2. Does your dog have any behaviors of digging, escaping or fence jumping, aggression, separation anxiety, nervous pee-er, fears, etc? The best way for me to make him feel comfortable and well taken care of is for me to know any history or special behaviors your baby has. This will help me provide the best care possible. I can watch pit bulls, but I reserve the right to monitor and separate from other pets as needed. 3. Please put an Emergency contact on your Rover pet profile, other than those individuals who are boarding the dog, as a back up in case you cannot be reached. 4. MEET & GREET PRIOR to booking. We want to ensure your dog is comfortable in new environment, with Sitter and other Dogs 5. Items Pet Owner MUST bring for stays with Sitter. CRATE - For the safety of your pet if sitter needs to be out of the room or out of home for any amount of time. You don’t know how your pet is going to respond in a new environment, so this request is solely for their protection and comfort. LEASH & HARNESS - that DO NOT SLIP OFF or come open while on pet. FOOD & BOWLS - ALWAYS send EXTRA FOOD in the event that stay needs to be extended for unexpected circumstances, changes to plans, flight delays, possible need for extra night, etc. It's always best to be over prepared than under prepared. TOYS - Bring your dogs favorite toys. For dogs with heavy chewing behavior, please bring sturdy toys for them to chew on. Squeaky toys, hard rubber toys, a combination of toys to keep them occupied. This provides me with more ways to interact with your dog, especially larger breeds. BEDDING - Any bed or blankets that they use at home, to provide a sense of home and comfort. TREATS - For Rewarding MEDICATION AS NEEDED DOG SHAMPOO you use, in case Fido should require bathing.
