My entire life has involved animals. Growing up we always had cats and dogs in addition, I spent a lot of time on my grandparents dairy farm full of cows, goats, and barn cats. I currently have two cats, two dogs and now two kittens! While they get along well with other animals, I would prefer to take care of your pets in their own environment. I am a licensed mental health counselor and recognize that anxiety is not just for humans. I believe animals do best in familiar surroundings, especially when separated from their owners. I have previously pet sat for my friends and family while they were on vacation. One of those friends runs a foster program for animals so pet sitting for her is often an extensive job. As far as dog walking, I believe animals need a lot of exercise to stay healthy and burn off extra energy. I enjoy being outside and any opportunity to enjoy nature. My dogs are very old so their exercise is limited. I would love the opportunity to go for walks with your dogs. I work full time as a licensed mental health counselor so I’m currently just available to pet sit on the weekends. I would never want to make a commitment that I couldn’t follow through on so I try to stick to the times I’m free & can be dedicated and focused on you pet. I like to stick closely to whatever routine you already have for your pet. Including feedings, exercise/play time & of course snuggling! If there are places nearby that you take your dog to walk/play I can also do that. Typically, I will only take them places they are familiar with to avoid any unnecessary stress of unfamiliar places and/or ppl.
