A Place For Your Dog To Chillax!

Pet care experience

We offer a pretty chill home environment. I’m a wife/mother. My husband is a rockstar chef who travels. Our recently new-to-adulthood daughter still lives with us. She is an actress and college student who loves animals. Our resident dog Deli (lab mix) is gentle and enjoys overnight guests. We have been welcoming pets into our home since 2013. Everyone who stays here is part of the pack. • Our dog guests are free to roam our home and yard and make themselves comfortable, whether that be under my desk at my feet when I am on my computer, lounging on the furniture inside or outside, or finding a shady cool spot outdoors. • Can accommodate: Special Diets, Medication Administration, Exercise requirements • Dogs get at least two walks each day – morning (early before the heat of the day) and late evening. • Dogs have unlimited access to outdoor fenced yard through a doggie door. • Sleeping arrangements in my bedroom or with my daughter, depending on who your dog chooses as their go-to human • Outings – errands and park We have a house in Valley Village, CA with a large yard and a home that is welcoming to your pet. Our yard is comfortable and we spend a lot of time out there. My number one goal is to get your dog to a level of comfort right away. Bring your pet's bed, leash, dog food and favorite toy. We have organic, grain-free treats and lots of love and fun waiting for them. Most dogs will just hang close to us humans, following us around as part of our pack. If your dog is used to a schedule, please email me before the stay or provide written instructions I can put on my whiteboard. NOTE: If your dog is used to a crate in your own home, while I don’t normally crate our guests, I will ask that you please bring the crate. We can leave the crate open just in case your baby wants to go somewhere familiar. If you don’t normally use a crate, don’t bring it. We won’t use it. I have had dogs as part of my family for over 30 years. Deli is our third family pet and we rescued her 10 years ago. Before Deli, and the birth of my daughter, I had two wonderful rescues, California for 15 years and KC for 13 years. All our dogs have been Med-Large breeds. I do accept other dogs during your pet’s stay. If you believe your dog would not do well with other dogs, I will adjust the daily rate and close off my service to other guests. Rates are for a 24 hour period. Example: Drop off at 9am on Monday and pickup should be 9am on Wednesday. Please ask for a custom quote if you require a late pickup. Extended hourly charge is $3.25/hour. Second dog in the family gets a 15% discount. Ask for a custom quote. My Service In Your Home: If I come to your home, I usually spend about an hour with your dog and 30 minutes of it on a walk. We play, walk, rest and snuggle and I provide belly rubs, galore! Before I leave your place, I make sure your dog did it's business or we walk longer. If the business is handled quickly, there is more time for exercise and playtime, besides the walk. Leave a treat, and I'll make sure your little treasure gets it, plus I freshen the water and lock up. I offer KittyCare, too. Similar to my visit to your home for dogs, without the walk. I’ll spend about 30 minutes in your home. When I leave, if allowed, your cat will have receive love and attention. I talk to them the entire time I’m in the home – even if they are hiding, because I know they are listening. My visit will include cleaning the kitty litter, freshening the water and putting out food and treats. Yes – I will care for some other pets like birds, turtles and hamsters. Like Us on Facebook! Search for Valley Village Vacation Station. We post great pics of all our guests and sometimes funny little stories.

Sherri was amazing!! Our pups can be a handful but she treated them like they were her very own. She was patient with them and gave them lots of cuddles - and her dog Deli is an absolute angel. Will definitely be back!!

Sherri and her daughter are amazing! Roxi had a great visit, they were very communicative with updates and we did a meet and greet first to make sure our pups got along. Everything was perfect, I would absolutely leave Roxi with them again any time! Wonderful people!

Sherri and her daughter regularly care for my senior pup with some medical issues. She always communicates, keeps him calm, and provides a safe and engaging space for him

Information Sherri C. would like to know about your pet

We prefer dogs to be easy to transition into a vacation environment...which is what we consider our home when you drop off your pet. To help them transition, we do give them a bit to explore the new surroundings and look out the window. About an hour later, I usually take them bye-bye. I want them to get into the pack right away and that usually helps by doing something they already know. If your dog is a new rescue, that information is important for us to know. They require some extra special attention.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Yes, two walks each day around the neighborhood, for about 30-45 minutes each walk, unless your dog is out of shape. I am happy to take them to a dog park, if requested. Plus we go bye-bye on errands. Your dog will be well exercised and we do this so they are content and don't find ways to get into mischief. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will sleep on their bed either in my room or my daughter's room -- whomever they choose as their human during their stay. Time I'll spend with your dog I work from home and end up with lots of time with the dogs. Because they will be part of the pack in no time, we pretty much spend all of our time together. I take dogs with me on errands IF I will be in the car with them the entire time. There are times when I do have to take my daughter for an audition, and I will take the dogs with me, other times, I can't. If your don't can't be left unsupervised, please bring a crate so there is no damage to my home.. Then they go on an audition with us, the bonus is, a new area to walk while the audition is going on. MY IN HOME VISIT SERVICE: Most of my visits will be at least an hour and if you want longer companionship, AND you don't mind them going on errands with me, I'll take your pet bye-bye. Never left in a car while I do errands, bye-bye can be a short trip to the post box or a longer trip, running errands for an entire afternoon. Extra house-sitting services Sure thing, just ask. I can water plants, handle your mail, newspaper or other quick and easy task you need to have done.
