Vet's daughter+fenced yard+love

Pet care experience

I love dogs beyond words. I'm the daughter of a veterinarian (and worked for several years at his vet clinic when I was younger) and have been surrounded by dogs my whole life. My husband and I and our two kids (Max is 18, Gabo is 16) love dog sitting. We have fenced yard and also an extra gate between our living space and the front door so dogs don't have access to it when people are entering and exiting the house. We have a plethora of dogs beds and a really big sectional with plenty of room for people and dogs. :-) I work primarily from home as a freelance writer and health coach, and I have a dog bed and a regular bed in my office for them to lounge on (the little ones prefer my lap!). They get regular potty breaks (in the yard or on walks), play breaks, and lots and lots of snuggles. If it's nice, I often work outside and invite them along (the yard is fenced). On the weekends we love to go on area hikes and will happily bring your dog along too! If I have more than one dog I try to match personalities, and many dogs that visit make best friends here and they play and play. We don't have our own dogs right now, so dog sitting is our way to share all the dog love we have until we're ready to get another. Our hope is to provide second home for your dog, so you know your little pumpkin is loved and safe. Last words: I know your dog is your child. That leaving your baby with someone can be difficult. You might wonder, "Will they love my dog, will they pay attention, will they notice if something is wrong, will they let me know when how my dog is doing while I'm away away?" I will do all of that. I will take care of your dog like I would my own. Anyone who knows me knows that dogs are the center of my universe, and they will always get an unending amount of love and care when they are around me.

I can’t say enough good things about her. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and was very patient with my small dog’s fears. She kept me informed with texts and photos the entire time. I would highly recommend her.

Information Sheri W. would like to know about your pet

While we love dogs of all sizes, we focus on taking small/medium (30 lbs. and under) who are fully house trained because it makes the Rover experience more manageable. We make some exceptions for larger dogs who are calm and friendly. All darks bark a little, but our neighbors' houses are close, so it's more challenging to take dogs who are excessive barkers. We cannot take dogs with any kind of history of aggression toward other dogs or people because we often have other dogs and teenagers in the house. Our goal is to ensure the safest, most comfortable environment for the dogs and people that are here.
