I have been around dogs my whole life. Friends call me the dog whisperer :) I used to groom years ago and am familiar with many breeds. I do talk to them but most of all I listen to them. Every expression, every tail wag, every bark or whine and every roll on their back is trying to tell you something. I believe dogs are just like humans and every one of them is unique in their own way. I dont believe in the saying “you can’t teach a old dog new tricks.” I had 2 dogs growning up with my parents. I was 21 yrs old when I owed my first dog on my own. She was 17 when she passed. I have experience with puppies to seniors. They truly love unconditionally and deserve the same back in return :)
