I’ve raised three puppies, a dachshund (Rusty), our current goldendoodle, Ezzie, and an Australian Heeler mix (Happy), a puppy we rescued after she was born on the streets of Merced. I’ve worked with several trainers and with many positive training techniques. Plain and simple, I love dogs! Boarding here includes training! We typically take one dog at a time for boarding and work with your dog to address issues from fear of other dogs, the crate, stairs, and car. I often (but not always - please ask me if this is a need you have, and I may be able to adjust the rate for you and block out your boarding dates) only take one puppy/dog at a time in order to provide the best possible care for your pet. Your dog will get a lot of play time, socialization, training, and attention in our large, safe yard with our friendly medium-sized goldendoodle. I typically spend personalized time with your dog on a daily basis and do some training such as recall, heel while walking, sit, down, leave it, drop it, bring it here, off, quiet, speak, etc. Over the years, I have discovered many simple solutions to frustrating problems commonly encountered by owners. For me, time slows down to a humane, natural pace when I interact with dogs and see them play and communicate in their own language. I believe that dogs and pets teach us the empathy and compassion that is so often lost and so desperately needed in Silicon Valley / Bay Area’s unrealistic pace of activity and expectations. The pet care will be in a family environment with two independent older kids who are very experienced with dogs so your puppy / dog will get lots of attention and socialization from me and our family. We purchased our home with a fenced yard near Marlin Park in Redwood Shores to be able to welcome more pets to our home after we were devastated to lose Happy, the dog we rescued. Our friendly, medium 5-yr-old goldendoodle will love the company of your dog to enjoy our safe, fenced yard just a block from a beautiful park with a large field! We recently upgraded the yard with new fences as it has been my dream to see more puppies and dogs safely enjoying the spacious yard.
