We're a homeschooling family situated in the Union Valley area of Hunt County within easy driving distance of Royse City and Quinlan. Our happy home consists of an engineer dad, homeschooling mom, two kids aged 13 and 14, a boxer [who believes she's a child herself], and 2 rescue kitties. We are blessed to be situated on 6.5 acres, with a large, fenced-in backyard for safe doggie play. Our kids are old enough to enjoy playing with animals in a responsible way, and with four people in the house, there are plenty of laps to go around for those fur babies who just prefer to snuggle up. Because we home-school, we can be at home with your pet virtually constantly. My kids love to take pictures, so you can be assured you'll be able to see as much of your pet while you're gone as you'd like. We travel rarely and so can generally be available on relatively short notice. We love having visitors of both the human and animal variety and look forward to meeting you and your animal companion[s].

This stay for our dog was amazing! Texts and pictures every day, handmade paw print ornaments! I don't think she really wanted to come home! I highly recommend using this family.

We'd like to know if your pet gets along well with other pets; we need to know of any aggressive behaviors up-front. We'd also like to know of any health issues, including allergies, that might be of importance to your pet's comfort during their stay. We especially like to know what things your pet enjoys so we can do our best to incorporate their favorite activities into their stay. It's important to us that any pets are up-to-date on their immunizations. It is also necessary that you have your pet on some sort of flea deterrent as we live in a rural area. Our pets take oral flea medications and so have no issues; however, we can't guarantee an animal will not get fleas if they aren't on some sort of deterrent. For everyone's comfort, please make sure your pet is protected before coming to stay with us.
A typical day
Between our kids and our super-friendly boxer, any dog visitors will have more than enough active fun. If your dog loves to take walks, we often go for nature walks on the dirt road running along the back of our property and are happy to take your dog along with us.
