Hi, y’all! My name is Shella. I’m from Southern Indiana, and I have always loved animals. I have over 100 volunteer hours at an animal shelter along with ten years with my own dogs and four years of doggie daycare experience. In addition, I’ve been training pups for two years and have had my pet CPR certification for about four years. I adore canines of all shapes and sizes. I grew up around dogs and always knew I wanted to work with them. Before graduating high school, I had six years of animal shelter volunteer work under my belt. I always wanted to be a vet tech, but moving around so often made it hard. I worked for a doggie daycare in Southern California for two years, and I thought their prices were crazy –– almost $70 per dog each night! I knew I could provide affordable dog care while helping pet parents. Over the years, I’ve met so many different types of canines, including small, large, skittish, scared, and aggressive pups. I believe every pooch is a product of their environment. That's why I want to provide them with a safe temporary home. My San Diego County home is a great place for dogs because I live on almost an acre of property with a six-foot fenced-in yard. My four-legged guests have a lot of opportunities here to play and run around outdoors. They are allowed on the bed and couches, too. I try to make the pups under my care feel like it’s their second home. I work Monday through Friday and come home during my lunch break to check on my furry guests. My husband works until 12:00 p.m. and is usually home for the remainder of the day.
