Pet care experience
I was raised with Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. Everyone in my family had at least one or two. My Aunt was a breeder and an excellent dog trainer. She taught me how to stay safe around dogs and about treating animals with love, kindness and respect. Over the past 30 years I have cared for many of my friends and families dogs. I have cared for dogs as they age; including caring for blind dogs, arthritic dogs, dogs with hip dysplasia, and even cancer. I believe in the compassionate care of all animals. I also have plenty of experience with cats too. I have had my small dog, Aura (a 10 lbs. pug/poodle mix) for the past 11 years and she and I both enjoy the company of other pups. We adore dogs of all kinds and we are thrilled when we can help care for new pet friends. PLEASE NOTE: we only board pets with proof of required shots.

What a living gem! We really appreciated Shelby’s willingness to take our two beagles at the last minute. Shelby took the time to “beagle-proof” her home (they can be rascals!), she took them for a walk, and overall gave them a great experience. The moment we arrived, she warmly welcomed them and they never looked back. What a wonderful, trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you again, Shelby!
Shelby took great care of my pup while we were gone. They went on plenty of walks and to a bunch of parks for exercise. I know I left my dog in good hands and would definitely have Shelby watch her again.
We are so thankful to have found Shelby to watch our Beau while we picked up his new baby brother. We had to change our day and time as our plans changed and Shelby was very accommodating of our situation. Beau cried, as he always does, when we left, but soon we received pictures of Beau and Aura on a walk, at the park, and playing together. It makes such as difference to not worry about your pet while you're gone and we didn't worry about Beau for a minute. He was well taken care of and enjoyed his time at Shelby's. We plan to reserve with her again next time we need a sitter for Beau....and his new baby brother.
Shelby was the best! She watched my baby girls penny for the weekend and kept me informed with many "pupdates" and photos. I highly recommend her and will be entrusting her with my dog in the future

A typical day
We typically walk the dogs in our quiet neighborhood up to a nearby park with trails and a playground. We also like to hop in the car and venture out to the many other beautiful parks, trails and paths in Bend. We’d be delighted to take your doggie along! You pup will also get plenty of love, attention, and pets.

I enjoy taking breaks during work, from home, to walk the dogs. We have a great park nearby we like to walk to with trails and a big grassy fields. We also go for car rides to school, to the river, parks and trails.
