Hello! Welcome to my profile! I have had all types of animals in my life; including but not limited to dogs and cats, birds, amphibians and reptiles, farm animals, etc. The list goes on and on! I have 9 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in the Emergency/Speciality area, so I come with a lot of vast training and knowledge of what to do if the unexpected happens. I never think anything bad will ever happen, but it is nice for myself and my clients to know I can handle it if something arises. Please feel free to ask me more about my experience, I am happy to dive deeper into it! Helping animals has always been my life’s dream and goal, and it is that much better to help my clients with them! I understand how much they mean to you and will treat them as I they were my own. I require a meet and greet, it is a chance to meet not only you and make sure you’re comfortable with me, but also to meet your fur children and get the chance to get to know them before you go away. Things I can do medical wise: -Give oral medications -Administer subcutaneous fluids as prescribed -Obtain a blood glucose and administer insulin …among many other things! Things to discuss at our meet and greet: -Is there any health issues I should know about? -Any medications that need to be given? -Is there a specific routine your pet prefers? -Any food allergies? -How does your pet typically react to strangers? -Has your pet been pet day before? -What are some things your pet enjoys If your pet tends to be more fearful, or can be a bit of a “problem child”, that’s ok! I am happy to work with you. I may ask for additional meet and greets to allow time for them to become accustomed to me and feel comfortable with me before they and I interact on our own without you there. So please plan accordingly! I completely understand how hard it is to leave your fur children for a trip, or even just to work, and want to do my best to make you feel more at ease. Shelby has been an excellent, reliable pet sitter for me on several occasions. Her medical knowledge and expertise make me comfortable knowing my pets are in good hands while I am away. I have older animals with medical needs and I trust her to medicate them properly, as well as recognize if there is something wrong. She is very sweet and kind and all my animals love her. Highly recommended!

I know how scary it is to leave your fur babies in the care of someone else, please rest assured I will monitor and treat them as I would my own pets. I always check the fence perimeter prior to letting dogs out, and I monitor dogs while they are outside. I keep a close watch out for any choking hazards that could be within their reach. I ensure the doors are shut so the cats can’t escape!

I love to make sure your best friend is as comfortable as possible while you’re gone. So I like to know about your personal routine; when you get up, go for walks, typical times for potty breaks. I’ll also take care to play any games or activities with them that you see sit.

Availability
I currently work full time, but I work from home! So as long as you don’t mind me using your wifi if I have to work, I’m happy to always be with your pet! The only times I would need to leave would be if you only need me overnight, or I can stay the whole stay with the expectation I will need to pop home to care for my own animals.
