Pet care experience
I've had dogs ever since I could walk in my family home. I have trained two of my own dogs to be service/ therapy dogs, Sophie a yorkie/silky mix(now 10) and Parker a black lab/shepherd mix(now 12). Your dogs safety and well-being is my first priority! Your vacation is well needed and you’ll have a piece of mind while your pet is staying with me!! ***Currently I foster puppy’s with for the love of dogs here in Vermont (FTLOD) I will most likely have puppy or two here if you choose to book with me!*** please let me know if that’ll be an issue so I can make arrangements. If your dog or puppy loves the outdoors and has an unmanageable amount of energy like my current dog wallace, I'll be more then happy to take them out for runs, hikes, swimming excursions and trips to the local dog park! I have been watching houses on weekends and for vacations for almost 7 years now, dogs just add to the experience!

Shelby is AMAZING!! Definitely the best dog sitter/walker/friend/whisperer. My two dogs didn’t know what fun was until they stayed with Shelby!! Trips to the dog park, tons of playtime, introducing them to other dogs and having the time of their lives together was more than I could ask for. Shelby’s attention to detail, patience, love of animals and the great outdoors all blended perfectly for a great time for me and my pups! I knew they were in good hands from the get-go, and that allowed me to relax and enjoy my getaway. Highly recommend Shelby in all areas of pet care.
I am giving away my new peace of mind secret! I have found the most amazing dogsitter! Shelby and her sweet dog Wallace provided excellent care for a week for our year old Rescue Hound mix. Our dog is sensitive and fearful of strangers. He was immediately at ease with Shelby and Wallace. Shelby offered insight and training to help our dog with his fear. We were in touch daily with photos and updates. Our dog was able to hike and go to dog parks everyday. I will never leave my dog with anyone else!
Shelby is amazing! She took terrific care of our dog while we were in Rochester for the weekend. We will definitely board our dog with Shelby again!
Shelby is wonderful with dogs. Whenever I have to travel I ask her to come and stay in my home with my dog. I never have to worry about the house, she always leaves everything clean and tidy. She loves taking dogs on hikes and to the river to swim. She is reliable and fun. :)

I don’t have a fenced in yard, what I do have are pet gates set up around my home to ensure the safety of your dog(s) while staying at my home. I have a very friendly dog of my own, a curious but mostly skiddish cat around new dogs and from time to time foster puppy(s) that would love to play with your dog! While staying with me depending on your pets needs 2/3-2 mile walks/hikes a day are provided I will always leash walk(unless told otherwise) Crates are available

A typical day
I’m the mornings I feed breakfast around 7am then take you pup for a morning 1mile loop. Around noon I have my neighbor Nicole take your pup for an afternoon potty break. I return from work no later then 4pm, from there well take a nice long walk or a hike and on hot days your pup is more then welcome to jump in the chilly rivers! Dinner is given at (desired time) we’ll take another walk before it gets dark out and we’ll all settle in for the night. Your pet will stay in my bedroom or my guest room and absolutely will be allowed on all furniture and beds if desired.

I’m currently working full-time running a beer and wine sales route for central vermont however most of my days are manageable and shorter then 6hrs. Please feel free to ask me questions about my schedule!
