Pet care experience

I have been showing dogs for 10+ years. My family are all well know judges. I have put stock, obedience , and rally titles on my own dogs. I have handled other peoples dogs. I have groomed other peoples dogs as well. I am learning how to branch out and create my own business which I would like to name after my last junior dog that has sadly passed away. Dogs are amazing animals. They are so smart, kind, and each have their individual personality. I have experience with administering medication such as diabetic shots as well as pill administration. I massage animals neck, legs, and back if they like it or need it. I take dogs for walks because it is not only therapeutic and relieving for them but it is soothing for me as well. Upon requests from owners I will take dogs to the trails by the mountains for a hike. I am a huge advocate for animals as well as mental health and young people. You can entrust I will update you with pictures and your pet will receive top notch care. If you have any questions about anything please don't hesitate to contact me I also really want to say I love building a long lasting relationship with not only the dog's but the owner's as well. It makes me happy to not only see a dog happy but a owner smile too. :)

Shelby did a great job with our five dogs and cat. Took great care of our blind diabetic senior dog. We will definitely use her again.

Shelby is very sweet and knowledable about Aussies. Zeke was very comfortable staying at her home for a sleep over.

Between our two dogs, they can be quite a handful, and one in particular can be very difficult because she's extremely shy. Shelby not only listened to our concerns, but she also had the patience and caring to earn our trust and that of our dogs quickly (so quick that she was actually able to give them a bath). That trust gave us a peace of mind while we were out of town, but also helped our dogs normalized far more quickly than usual when we get them back. I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially, if their dog is shy or has trust issues.

Shelby was a FABULOUS sitter for our two rambunctious bulldogs! As this was our first time using a sitter for our kiddos, we were a little nervous leading up to the meet and greet at our house - As soon as we met Shelby and saw how she calmly and expertly handled our boisterous duo, we felt completely confident that we had found our forever go-to sitter. Shelby asks all the right questions, so that she has a care plan specific to your dog down to an exact science. As Shelby has experience and extensive training in dog-grooming, she also clipped my kiddos’ nails during her stay (which is amazing given that they normally hate this!) and I came home to them squeaky clean from a recent bath. My kiddos are on supplements and medication daily, which she was also able to administer without any issues at all (again, quite a feat!) and they were walked so well that upon our arrival home, we had too very content, mellow little fellows. This was a godsend after a long drive! Shelby sent me daily photos and updates twice a day on how the pups were doing - with us gone that truly helped reassure this (slightly overprotective) dog Mum that her kiddos were happy and healthy. It is worth mentioning that one of our pups comes from an abusive background and is naturally an anxious girl because of it - With Shelby, she was totally at ease and we were amazed that she didn’t have any “panics” while were gone, as she had NEVER been without us before. Such is a testament to Shelby’s wonderful care and demeanor. Shelby is a kind, caring, incredibly sweet person and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have found her for our pups. We won’t be using anyone else for their care, of that I am totally confident! Thank you for all did Shelby! The pups are already looking forward to their next stay with you ☺️

Information Shelby M. would like to know about your pet

Time I'll spend with your dog We can discuss this at our initial meeting, depending of what you believe your dog's needs are when you're away. This differs by dog and I don't believe there is a specific time needed for each and every animal. My recommendation is an hour each stay, unless it's an overnight stay. Extra house-sitting services Whatever is needed to continue to make the house run smoothly while you're away --- watering plants, taking in mail, keeping the house neat and clean. I can also give your furry loved one a bath. I also do private training lessons and other services.

A typical day

I love every type of animal. I especially have a soft spot for Australian Shepherds in particular since I grew up showing and training them.
