Pet care experience
I am Mama to my 3 dogs and 3 cats. I have been around animals all my life, I got my first job in a Doggy Daycare at 15 and I knew then that taking care of and loving animals is all I ever wanted to do in life. I worked at a pet store called WagNWash in Maryland, where I was under the direction of Dr. Kirk Forrest DVM. I learned so much about pet wellness, care, health. I’ve relocated to Iowa for the winter from Alaska and am a full time dog mom to my fur babies and to a beautiful 2 year boy! All my dogs are very active and love to play. I love the crazy commotion of having dogs all around me, the slobbery kisses, the stinky doggy breath, and yes, even the poop!

Absolutely loved Shelby! She came over before knowing I was a little hesitant and it made the whole thing so much easier for me! She sent the cutest pics of my puppy! I will be rebooking for sure!
Was wonderful having someone with dogs that match energy and can play all day to wear our girl out!
10/10 recommend! Freya had so much fun meeting her new friends and we even got video updates throughout her stay! You can tell they have a lot of love for animals. Will definitely come back! Makes me feel so much more at ease leaving her while I go on vacation.

I have a secure wood fenced in backyard and we have outside time a minimum of once every two hours. We have many toys to choose from; balls, bones, frisbees, etc! We feed separately, usually in kennels so there is no opportunity for aggression or competition. I like to keep our schedule as similar to our Rover dogs schedule when they are with us. It keeps the home at ease and without stress. I require a trial daycare visit for any new clients wanting to book for boarding. It gives us the opportunity to spend more one on one time before committing to full boarding, I book trial daycares for half the fee of a standard daycare. Some pet parents choose to leave all day, some for only a couple hours. It’s absolutely your preference! Trial daycares are scheduled any day of the week, between 9am-9pm.

I don't have breed preferences but I do like to know regular day to day routine, feeding schedule, etc. I do ask that your pet is friendly towards children/people and other dogs, and that he or she does not have a history of biting or aggression. I will not accept any aggressive behaviors. I require any dogs under my care at any point to be up to date on rabies and bordetella, this protects myself and my dogs to ensure a safe and clean environment for all of us! Please also have your pets properly tagged with a collar that has health information or your contact information attached. Please let me know ahead of time if medication is required, or if your pet has any allergies.
A typical day
My dogs love to run and play tag with other dogs, so with the combination of them and me both, your pets will have lots of exercise and love. During down time we like to snuggle, have treats, give kisses, and watch movies.

Availability
I am a stay at home mom; my day to day is fully committed to Rover and to being a Mom. I will always send updates throughout the day, during walks, and at drop-ins to provide you with ease and comfort knowing your baby is in good hands. I have done Rover for over 7 years but with my son being so young, I unfortunately cannot take on all requests and my schedule varies based on your location, service times, and additional needs. I cannot accommodate house sitting at this time and will only consider for current clients or emergency situations.
