Pet care experience
I've had and cared for dogs and cats my whole life and I absolutely adore all types of animals. I grew up with a whole host of animals (dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, etc.). Currently, my only pet is a crested gecko, Dick Cheney. He is wonderful, but I can't really take him on a walk around the block. I also have some experience with chickens and reptiles. I also have some experience caring for special needs pets, elderly animals, and puppies. I will also look after exotic animals (snakes, lizards, birds, etc.) as long as I am given detailed instructions on what to do (just list them as a cat on Rover).

My returning flight was changed so Shelby sat an extra day with my two cats. Once again, excellent service! I highly recommend and I will be using her services again in the future.
Shelby did a wonderful job sitting for my two cats while I was out of town! She ensured they were fed, watered and overall well. She played with them and hung out with them to give them some companionship while I was away. Her communication and follow up is excellent. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a cat sitter!

I booked a session with Shelby as a "meet and greet" to get to know my two cats, as I have been looking for a sitter. Shelby is terrific! She was punctual, personable and asked many good questions. Most importantly, both my cats took to her instantly, putting my mind at ease. I will definitely be using Shelby's services in the future.

A typical day
Typically for dogs I take them on a 30-45 minute walk and refresh their water (and food/meds as per the owners instructions). I will also play with the dog if there are toys available. For cats, I usually refresh the food, water, and litter box and play with them. I especially enjoy watching them swat around toys on strings or chasing balls.

I work nights and am free before noon Tues- Fri and at any time on Sunday and Monday. Please be understanding if I don't respond to texts fast early in the morning as I am probably asleep.
