On returning to my home yesterday I discovered that Shelby had not spent the week House Sitting or watching my dogs, but had instead shown up late in the evening on her work days, and skipped sleeping at the house multiple nights. She was hired to stay overnight for seven days and to make sure the dogs had company when she wasn't working. Luckily I had also hired Terry Geyer as a back up. He stepped up and came to my home daily to feed the pups and to spend quality time with them. Shelby's lack of attendance at the house was not communicated to me until I returned, and was only then communicated when I spent an hour with Terry and asked him what actually happened while I was away. I work full time, so the pups are used to me being gone a reasonable number of hours. They are not used to being shut in a room and left alone without human contact overnight. I feel terrible that I trust Shelby with them, and with my home.

Shelby has the confidence to deal with the demands of five dogs at once, which is not easy. The dogs liked her from the start. She's smart and aware of her surroundings, giving me confidence in having her watch my home and puppy pack. She also has excellent people skills and is a great communicator.
