Hi there! My name is Shelby and I'm looking for new furry friends! I have grown up with dogs in my home since childhood, and am comfortable around dogs of any size or breed. Living in an apartment has given me severe dog deprivation-- I miss the clacking of paws greeting me at the door after work! To make up for my inability to own a pet at this time, I volunteer at an animal shelter regularly, where I have been trained in dog handling and provide walks and 3 mile runs for the shelter dogs. I understand how important it is for energetic dogs to get the exercise they need, both for their physical and mental health. I am currently training for a half marathon, so I am also willing to take your dog for longer runs if needed! I also regularly dog sit for a family in my area when they are away for weekend trips. I will typically stay in the home, let the dog out as needed, provide her with her medication and meals as scheduled, and just give her the company she needs while her owners are away. I'm happy to help in any way I can!
