Pet care experience
Upon retiring from the Federal government after 35 years, I decided that it was time for me to do what I love to do - spend time with animals. Pets have been a part of my life since I can remember - dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, squirrels, reptiles, rabbits, and horses. I have taught my own children how to care for their pets, i.e., what type of food to feed them, how to clean their bedding, proper exercise, grooming, and play time. I have also cared for and administered medication to dogs with Anxiety issues and Epilepsy, without incident. We recently lost our special cat who blessed us for 20 years. We also lost our beloved dog of 15 years. She had arthritis in her hips and required extra help to get around. It was a challenge, but we managed to keep her at home until she was ready to go on her own. They both rest peacefully now in their cedar boxes on our fireplace, proudly watching over our family. I understand the special bond between pets and their parents and will do my best to ensure that any pet I am responsible for will have a memorable and loving experience while in my care.

Sheila was awesome. She gave me great tips on potty training our 5 month old maltipoo puppy. She kept in touch and sent daily photos of Presley. I feel very comfortable with Sheila and will use her again and highly recommend her
Shelia is a thoughtful caring animal lover. She does a great job taking care of our dogs. Their welfare is the most important thing to her.
We have used others but she is by far the best. My 2 little ones runs to the door when we arrive. The dogs run the roost when they are there.
Sheila was super friendly and Buddy seemed to enjoy his day!

I prefer to let your pet decide whether or not he/she would choose ME as their caregiver. Be aware that many sitters will offer a cheaper rate, however, many of them accept animals from multiple families at the same time. I only take pets from the same family so you can rest assured that your baby/babies will be the CENTER OF ATTENTION while in my care. Always check the Preferences on your sitter's profile to view their policy before you book.
A typical day
I will provide care for ANY animal while you are away or if you simply need help caring for them on a daily basis - feeding, cleaning up, exercise, etc. I am familiar with the care of many different animals, especially CATS and DOGS. I enjoy being around HORSES and other farm animals as well. I will consider caring for any other type of animal, rodent, or reptile. If we have a sleepover at my house, we have a large fenced yard to play FETCH! I love to play fetch - my dog taught me well, as I did most of the fetching! Or, we could simply have some quality LAP time and just kick back and watch a movie. Your pet can also enjoy a relaxing MASSAGE and PEDICURE, if so desired. I assure you that your pet will never be left unattended, confined to a crate, nor lack for attention. Lots of hugs and kisses here!!!
