I would like to know everything about my new furry friend before becoming their dog walker. I want to please the pet. For instance, if playing catch with a certain toy is highly enjoyed, I would bring that toy along on the walk and we can play fetch together. If I know that squirrels, cats, etc. are upsetting, I would change direction of the walk and redirect his/her attention. If your petkid is a puppy, I understand it takes repetition and positive reinforcement. If your petkid is an adult, gentle encouragement to be active will be encouraged. I have experience with both mature dogs as well as going through “Puppy Kindergarten.” The only breed restrictions I have are hound mixes and those who do not like the smell of cats, as I recently adopted a stray female tortoiseshell cat. If your companion senses a feline fragrance and is not happy about that, we are not compatible. Before becoming your dog walker, I feel it is essential we all are comfortable with each other. Also, of course I will give a daily report on the activities, behavior, etc. Communication is of utmost importance.

On walks, my furry friend and I will go wherever his/her nose leads, following safety, of course. If the owner permits, we shall go anywhere including the beach, a park, a dog park, or even to a doggie play-date.
