Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner for 33 years, have rescued dogs over 32 years, created a nonprofit organization for senior dogs and have cared for other furbabies for 16 years. My experience includes K9 training classes, attending continuing education courses, pet nutritionist certification, medication administering, special needs and safety which all allows me to truly know how to relate to dogs and fully understand what their needs are. I enjoy working with dogs and having them as part of my family. Your family's furbaby will be treated like one of my own with love, care, play time and of course cuddle time. I believe a family's pet is a family member, they need love and care just as much as we do. Your family's pet will be in good hands and you will personally receive updates and photos daily of your pup. This is my full-time career and passion which allows me to be with your furbaby day and night. I live on 12 acres that gives me plenty of room to play with your pet and a fenced in yard. I do not use crates, only if your pup has it's own and uses one. My home is free to roam, furniture is up for grabs and beds are open for cuddle time at night. Sheila is very kind and obviously passionate about her pups/caring for dogs. It’s a great location for dogs to run around, play and sleep. My boy, Jasper, did acquire a minor foot injury, but there is genuinely no way to know if it happened there or if it happened at home and was revealed there. Regardless, Sheila took great care of him and made sure he was comfortable, including giving him some medicine I approved, until I could bring him home. And I trust that if it had been worse, she’d have taken him in to be seen. I’m grateful for Sheila’s kindness and though I rarely leave Jasper over night, if I have to again I’m sure I’d book with her.
Sheila was confident she could care for our two bernedoodles. Even though one still had puppy energy and was warned could get into things, she told me she had 30 years experience carrying for dogs. I was constantly bombarded with texts with what the dogs were either getting into, complaining that they wouldn't sleep and that they had loose stool. It was Christmas day and the texts wouldn't stop. She finally said I had to pick up my dogs because the puppy had diarrhea in her house. We were on Ohio, my daughter was at a Christmas party an hour away but Sheila didn't care. Someone had to pick them up. She made me call my neighbor and take them from their Christmas dinner to pick up my dogs. We were forced to come back two days early because Sheila wouldn't take my suggestion and separate my dogs from hers in a bathroom to calm them down. She only gave us half our money back for taking care of them for one day. Disappointed family.
I am very glad that I chose Sheila to take care of my dog. I have never before boarded with anybody and was very concerned at first but Sheila made everything go very smoothly. It turned out that Sheila has a wonderful, kind personality and loves animals. She is also an expert in dog care, special needs, and training. Due to my sickness I was not able to board my dog at the designated day and unfortunately, had to cancel. In two days I felt better and asked Sheila if she could take the dog the same day and she was able to accommodate my request. While I was on my trip, Sheila regularly sent me photos of my dog playing with her dogs and having a great time. In Addition: Sheila has a pet proof home with a closed deck attached right to the backdoor. Dogs can go outside from the deck and right into the large enclosed pen. Sheila's place is truly a haven for animals. I would highly recommend Sheila to anybody who wants to board or leave their pet for day care. Sheila has a loving heart for animals and your pet will have an amazing time at her place. 10 Star Review. Thank you, Sheila, for everything!!!

I have activities throughout the day that ensures mental stimulation, exercise, and interaction with other dogs. Your pup will never be bored.

Before a booking, I request a meet and greet. I want to make sure it's a good fit for everyone and your furbaby will be comfortable. All pups must be completely vaccinated. While you're on vacation, so is your pup. I want to ensure it's an enjoyable one for the both of you and everyone stays healthy.
A typical day
Our walks will be around the quiet area and depending on the weather, a hike in the woods. We have plenty of toys, chew toys, playing chase in the yard, safe stuffed animals and in the summer, a kiddie pool and pond for those pups were love to swim. We also have nap time so the dogs can rejuvenate and have quiet time for the more mellow dogs. It's all about the dogs here!

This is my full-time career and your family's pet will be cared for throughout the entire day and night with plenty of potty breaks, play time, and of course cuddle time. Pups are never left alone.
