Pet care experience
I think that my calm yet energetic disposition is great for dealing with dogs because I make sure they feel comfortable enough to have fun while their owners are away. I've grown up around dogs and even started my own pet sitting business when I was around 6 years old, so this is definitely something I'm dedicated to and passionate about. I'm a generally pretty active person so playtime and walks are just as fun for the dogs as they are for me. Something I'm good at is helping shy dogs learn to be more comfortable around strangers. Even dogs that normally hated kids were fine around me when I was younger! Many of my clients are impressed with how quickly their dogs take to me. I know a good deal about dogs and their behavior from being around them a lot and reading articles and research studies, so I have a few tricks up my sleeve for extra skittish pups. I treat the dogs I sit as my own. I know how important it is that you feel your dogs are safe, happy, and well taken care of. I know life can be busy and crazy so I am happy to help in any way I can!
Reviews
Shea did a great job with my three pups! She was super responsive, flexible with a last minute change, & sent pics & thorough updates. One of my pups is normally slow to take to new people, but he loved Shea immediately! Highly recommend, will book again in the future.
Shea took great care of our two dogs while we were out of town for a week. She provided updates after each visit along with pictures which our whole family enjoyed! She was extremely responsive and very kind and caring to our dogs. We highly recommend and hope to use her services again!
Shea did great taking care of my dogs. I was very thankful she accepted a last minute request. She provided updates and photos after she left. I look forward to booking again
Great with my husky! On time, reliable, and clearly cares a lot about dogs and gives a lot of great feedback on how the visit went!

I am not currently taking dogs at my house as my dog is old and doesn't take well to others being in his space. In other people's homes I make sure I can always see the dog or know where they are. Growing up with a lot of mischievous dogs, I am very conscious of putting dangerous things out of reach whether I am around to supervise or not. I've had leash training and know how to signal and control dogs when walking in a crowded area so you can rest assured they'll always be safe with me!
Information Shea C. would like to know about your pet
I do not discriminate based on breed, I treat each dog equally but uniquely. I usually like to know the breed of dog, their age, and their general energy level. I would also like to know how comfortable they are with new people, aggression triggers (food, certain body language, etc.) if any, and any other medical or behavioral issues that might come up. I try to keep them on their normal schedule as much as possible so knowing what a typical day for them looks like and what commands they're used to is super helpful!
A typical day
I love taking long walks in the woods, by a lake, or just around the neighborhood with the dogs. I think getting them out into the world to experience new smells and surroundings is just as important as their regular routine. I love playing tug-of-war and fetch, or just running around and having fun. For calmer or older dogs though, I am always happy to just take a stroll around the block and hang out for some belly rub time!

I currently work part-time from home with flexible hours so I can plan my day around when your pet needs care most days. I am also a certified personal trainer who loves to have company on my runs if your pet needs a little more exercise!
