Hi! Friends call me Ellie! I've been working as a pet caregiver for over fifteen years. Building relationships with my clients and their pets is something I pride myself on. I have many years of experience volunteering in shelters and working with dog trainers. I specialize in working with shy dogs who need someone who will respect their space in order for them to feel comfortable. I have taken care of many animals with various medical and behavioral needs including diabetic dogs and cats. Pets I'm most familiar with taking care of are dogs, cats, horses, ferrets, rabbits, rats, fish, and snakes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! I move at a pace that is comfortable for your pet. Not all pets are ok with hands-on interactions right away and that's ok! Once your pet(s) and I have built some trust, we will spend time doing whatever is most beneficial for them whether that's walks, playing, or cuddling. I also am very happy to keep up with current training. I'm very familiar and comfortable using e collars, prong collars, and other tools if desired!

Before pet sitting, I need to know about any behavioral issues and health problems. If your dog is going to be walked by me, I also need to know if they are leash trained and if they have any issues on walks. I do not have any breed restrictions or preferences.
A typical day
I offer dogs mental and physical activities to keep them busy. Playing, walking, cuddling, and even keeping up on training if desired. I also offer adventures to local dog friendly spaces (coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, parks) and hiking if the pups are prepared to participate in such activities! This will be determined by me and my experience with them. I do not take dogs to dog parks or allow interactions with strange people and dogs ever. I always advocate for your pet's space!

Availability
House sitting hours are generally 9pm-9am. If you'd like me to stick around longer, we can discuss you and your pup(s) needs! I work at home part-time, so some days my schedule is more flexible than others!
