Pet care experience
I have had animals of all types since I was born, including reptiles, fish, rodents, stray cats and stray dogs. I have seen how animals can be mistreated and abused and grew up with aggressive animals, and know how to positively reinforce animals to learn skills rather than relying on punishment. I can provide senior care and have experience taking care of dogs with disabilities. When I’m looking after a pet, the pet becomes my number one priority. I am home full time during the week and usually leave only briefly to walk other dogs in the area. I’m happy to spent lots of time at home with fury friends and taking them wherever I go! I also enjoy going for occasional runs with dogs if they’re up for it. I love having an animal to care for- it always gives me something to look forward to! I have a backyard and plenty of parks near by to walk around. I don’t currently have any dogs or cats in my home so all my attention goes to your little ones! I love going on runs and long walks with dogs when they’re up for it.

Shayna took great care of our two pups while we were on vacation. One of them has a lot of anxiety around new people and can be a handful but Shayna was great with him and he warmed up to her quickly. She also sent updates and pictures which made leaving them to easier. I will definitely be hiring her again next time we need a sitter. She is awesome!
I'm always torn when I find a great dog sitter on Rover. Should I be honest and let others in on the secret or keep it to myself? Shayna was terrific taking our peculiar dog for Thanksgiving on short notice after the not-so-great sitter we found on Rover cancelled at the last minute. So, yeah, Shayna is great. But please don't book her when I need her to take care of Rosie, ok?
Shayna was terrific! She watched my two spoiled pups for 3 nights, asked all the right questions and was responsive to my requests. Will definitely use her services again.
Shayna was responsive and accommodating to all my requests. I left her with a 35lb and 85lb dog at once and she took great care of them. Will definitely be reaching out again when I need a sitter.

The number one thing to know ahead of time is whether your dog gets along with other animals or people, or is aggressive towards others. It is also very important to know anything about your dog’s routine that is out of the ordinary and how much exercise your dog requires daily, as each dog is so different in terms of energy levels!
A typical day
I love taking dogs for long walks around the neighborhood and to some parks where they might have the chance to socialize with other animals (if they like to be around other animals). I also love playing fetch and tug of war to keep dogs active and engaged. I’m very playful with dogs!
