Pet care experience
I have previously volunteered at Ashe County Humane society for 6 years. I’ve adopted my two cats and my husky mix from the same humane society. I have done some casual pet sitting for friends and family before and decided to do it more often. I have also had a few bookings on here that went successfully. Everyone that I have pet sat for in the past, has requested my services after the first time and have recommended me to their friends. I have fostered very young puppies in the past and so I have some experience with puppy care. For the past year I have worked in a pet boarding facility, so I have professional experience with pet care and loved the hands on animal care career. While there I also gained experience with administering medications. I have never found a dog or cat that I have not adored and will make sure your pets receive my full attention and admiration. I am attending UC Davis as an Animal Science and Management major. I look forward to developing some amazing bonds with not only your pets, but with you.

Shaylee was awesome taking care and if our home and our little dog. She called when she noticed a problem and took videos and pictures of our dog and sent them to us.
Shaylee is very pleasant and personable. She was comfortable with our dog immediately and he took to her as well. She seems very responsible. We've only had an introductory visit but we will be using her again.
Shaylee has been volunteering with the local animal shelters since she was a small girl. She has fostered unwanted pups and made sure they were adopted to good homes. She has cared for and fostered cats as well. These are the reasons why I asked her to care for my dogs when I’m away or working a longer than normal shift. She is responsible, follows direction and I know that when my dogs see her they are happy. Their reactions to her tel me all I need to know. I’ve referred her to friends who have also used her for their pets. I can’t say enough good things about her.

I can spend as much or little time interacting with your pets as they would like. I have nothing against cuddly,kissy dogs or the loners who just need a little bit of love and care! If there are specific times for feeding or potty breaks I will work my schedule around it to make sure that they don’t experience too many changes while you are away.

A typical day
No matter if I have dogs on leash or off leash in a fenced yard, I make sure to fit in plenty of outside time (depending on weather) and I know that each dog has their preferences of what they like to do outside whether or not it includes play, so I adjust according to the dogs desires!

I’m currently in college so I have brought school work with me to some of my sittings and it means that I will have some availability restrictions. I currently don’t have a job so other than class and homework I am available for pet care most days of the week!
