Pet care experience
I have 30 years experience personally with my own pets and 15+ years working and volunteering at shelters working with dogs and cats. I also worked as a dog walker and LOVED it. I can handle all types of dog personalities and I enjoy helping them learn and grow. A walked dog is a happy dog, and that is all every owner wishes for.

Reviews
Shawna severely neglected our cats when she watched them for 4 days. Two of them got out for an unknown amount of time (at least 2 days). She did not communicate and she did not help us look for them. Her negligence created the worst day of our lives. To make things worse, she also trashed our bedroom. I do not recommend Shawna and I do not think she should be allowed to pet-sit.
I cannot recommend Shawna enough! She was so good with our dogs and sent awesome updates. If our dogs could talk, I know they would give her five starts 😊
Shawna was fantastic and went above and beyond taking care of me older Lab. Shawna was warm and loving with Jasmine and I felt very comfortable with her in my home and with my Lab.
Shawna was great and handled our exuberant giant dog like a pro. Would highly recommend her!

Information Shawna K. would like to know about your pet
I am comfortable with all breeds and temperments of dogs. I have experience with reactive dogs, shy dogs, and high energy dogs. I am very patient with cats and let them come to me when they decide to. I also love to use treats to help the kitties feel more comfortable.
A typical day
I like to tailor my walks to the dog. If the pooch is high energy then a fast paced walk with a chance to play with toys before or after is a great energy release. If it is a senior dog who likes to stroll and stop and smell all the smells that works too! I am able to take dogs to parks or Greenlake or other places if you want that included in their care. I only request that I am made aware of any dog preferences like no other dog introductions, etc. I let cats come to me in their own time. I have taken care of cats that were on my lap immediately to ones I only saw at meal time. I play with them how they prefer and love to use treats if ok to make friends.
