Shawn is incredibly passionate about dogs, especially the big ones. Every time he sees a dog walking by, no matter how angry the dog may seem, he gently extends his hand to see how the dog will react. Most of the time the dog sniffs and is happy to receive love and attention, even if the dog seemed angry before! Shawn's dogs always receive compliments for being so happy, friendly, and well-trained. He's always snuggling and petting his dogs and has even put aside a spare bedroom just for them (and occasionally guests). Once while Shawn worked as a pesticide sprayer, he had to care for a lawn with a large, aggressive dog that all of his co-workers were scared of. If the dog wasn't in the house, they'd turn their trucks around and go to the next job. But Shawn came in, pet the dog, calmed him down, and the two were best friends! Without a scratch on him!
