(If you've had your pet with us before, feel free to reach out through the past conversation box or request a stay regardless of our calendar) I got married in 2017 and am living in a single family house in Irvine with a relatively large backyard. I work from home and love dogs and kids. I'm always the guy that's hanging out with the dogs at big gatherings. I'm considering adopting a dog, but in the meantime, I'd love to care for furry guests that can enjoy our home too. I'm a medical device engineer and my wife is a yoga instructor. We have one baby (May 2020). There's a lot of great walking trails near our house and I enjoy taking walks and saying hi to our neighbor's dogs. I would love to take care of your furry family members for shorter stays. We treat your pup like s/he's a child. We understand that leaving your pup at someone's house while taking the weekend off or taking care of chores can leave you worried about how well s/he's doing and if your pup is being taken care of. I'll take several photos throughout the day and send summarized updates about your child's day. If s/he can sit and stay well, I might get some pretty good photos too ;)

Shawn and his family made sure Snuffles had a great time. He sent lots of photos and gave us updates. They also took snuffles to the park daily. It really helped us enjoy our vacation knowing our pup was in good hands.
Shawn is awesome! We are so happy with the way Shawn and his wife took care of out little fur man Happy. They sent us the updates and lovely pics of Happy twice a day. We cannot be more happy with Shawn's diligence. I was very nervous, but Shawn was more than accommodating. He was very reassuring and very communicative. We viewed the many pictures and videos he provided many times and knew our baby was in great hands. For our first rover experience Shawn has exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful and our dog had so much fun~!

We have a baby (born May 2020). I try to teach my baby to respect dogs but would appreciate well trained dogs to come as well. It is required that the dog has some experience with toddlers. We prefer hypoallergenic dog breeds but can be flexible on this as long as s/he doesn't shed too much. We will only host from one family at a time.
A typical day
There's a large network of walking trails in the neighborhood that our family enjoys going on at least once a day. We actively play fetch, tug, and repeat commands the dogs are familiar with.

I have a flexible schedule working from home. Walks in the morning, noon, afternoon, evening. Dogs help me get some exercise and fresh air too!
