If you would prefer to have your pet stay at my home, I would be happy to have them as a guest! I do prefer small/medium dogs for boarding as I have 4 small dogs of my own - and they love visitors! I have a fenced in back yard which is nice and shady with a small awning porch and the dogs have the run of my house - I have no carpets! I am home all day so I can give as much attention as needed. About this sitter: I have 20+ years experience caring for dogs. I worked part time for a Pug breeder in Sewickley PA. I have experience in feeding, walking, playing, clean up, and will even transport pets to the vet when needed. I am a passionate dog and cat lover and I currently have 5 dogs and 2 cats of my own - all spoiled rotten! I am available whenever I am needed and will take care of your pet with love and caring. I will do whatever jobs you request and am also available on short notice. I took care of up to 11 Pugs(!) at a time for a breeder in my area for over 20 years. I received a Veterinary Technician certificate and have done volunteer work for the Humane Society of Beaver County. I have taken care of all ages of dogs - seniors, adults, and puppies. I also help out my neighbors and friends when they are going on vacation or will be away from home for a short time. My dogs are part of my family, not just "pets". Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. I cannot remember a time when my parents did not have a dog living with us. I remember having all sizes and breeds of dogs - small, medium, large, purebred, and as my father called them "Heinz 57 variety". And, my parents always taught us to treat our pets like a part of the family. My experience administering medication Yes, I have 5 dogs and 2 cats of my own and have administered medication to them. I have also given medication to pets that I was sitting for when needed. I am also very comfortable taking care of dogs who have special needs - such as joint problems, seeing or hearing problems. In the past 20 years I have had 2 pets who became lame in their back legs. I had "carts" constructed for them and they were able to continue a normal life. Both of them died of natural causes. I am very proud of this - I allowed my sweet angels to live happy lives even with their disability.
