I am a sport psychology graduate student who is looking to help make your life easier by providing a helping hand with taking care of your dogs! I have had six years of experience helping a family take care of their senior golden retriever/chow mix until she passed away of old age. I provided support by taking her out on walks, dropping by to feed her, and providing lots of pets and "good girl" affirmations. I absolutely love dogs, but am unable to own one due to my current housing arrangement, so I am free to offer lots of love and support for YOUR dogs! While I will offer lots of love for your dog, I am also a believer of being firm in training and taking care of a dog, such as preferring dogs do not jump on others or bite. Because I am a graduate student, I typically have classes during the week starting at 4pm and ending at 10pm the latest. I am typically available to help out anytime before or after these times.

I was literally at the airport when the dog sitter I'd booked wanted to change the sitting plans. So I had to find another sitter quickly. Sharon was extremely responsive, she met with my housemate who gave her stamp of approval, and Sharon sat my puppy Denali for three nights. It was great to have peace of mind, knowing my puppy was being looked after!
Sharon took care of our older family dog on and off for a few years. She was very sweet and patient with Sarah who was shy and slowly growing deaf and having problems with her legs. Sharon would drop by to feed, walk, and hang out with Sarah. She loved Sarah as if she were her own. When Sarah got much older, Sharon would help us by giving Sarah a pill for her joints along with her dinner. I highly recommend Sharon as a helping hand for your lifelong furry companion!

I know many people have specific preferences of how to treat, feed, etc. their dog, so I would love to have a handy list so that I can best serve your needs. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or whether your dog needs a specific type of personality to take care of them, as I can let you know if I will be well-suited to take care of your pet. I am open to working with any breed of dogs, but am a huge fan of Chows, Samoyeds, Golden Retrievers, and dogs that are typically medium to large size.
A typical day
If you have a preference to where your dog should be walked, I will do my best to accommodate. Otherwise, I will likely find a nearby park, or go for a brisk stroll/jog around the neighborhood. If you have a large yard or enclosed space, I will be able to play with your dog if there are toys available.
