Hi! I’m Sharon! I am the founder of Walkstar Dog Walking, and I have been pet and house sitting in the San Juan area for 14 years. I enjoy working with dogs, cats, birds, and iguana. I have been rescuing street animals for almost 20 years, and I pride myself on being very punctual, responsible, and trustworthy. I love every pet as if they were my own, and I am very respectful of other peoples homes. I have experience walking and sitting dogs of all breeds and sizes, and I do not discriminate. Is your pup a bit aggressive, or not the friendliest with others? That’s OK, I specialize in that as well. I also make amazing vegan organic dog treats and for walks, I always carry bio-degradable bags and filtered water. For home care, I am experienced in taking care of houses, plants, mail/package retrieval, pet care and guest/visitor receiving. I am a stickler for the rules in my client’s homes. For pet care I pay close attention to follow the regular routine of the home so the owner does not come home to any surprise behaviors, and in home care I am meticulous about every detail to do the best job possible.

My motto is safety first- so all allergies, medical history, and medicines always come first. Behavioral routines or personality differences is always a must to know to give the best care, and of course the routine they are used to! Also from years of experience, I have learned to always ask where the light switches are and if there are any tricks to opening door locks.
A typical day
While I strive to keep the pets I watch as comfortable as possible, within keeping to their usual schedules, I love playing with cats and dogs and showing them new games, mental exercises, and possible light training.

Availability
Pet and home care is my first priority! I am available during working hours and devote all of my attention to my work. I do not use my cell phone during walks or appointments unless necessary, and never use headphones. I am 100% dedicated to being in the moment, make responsible decisions and focus my attention to details and communication.
