I did not have a good experience w Sharlette. She did not follow my instructions and actually broke my pet water fountain by not filling it. I have automatic feeders and water etc…She herself said this was a very easy job and didn’t do the bare minimum. When I contacted her after her visit about this she became hostile and unprofessional immediately. She didn’t fill the automatic water fountain once. It’s a huge fountain and there’s no way they could have drank the amount of water in it twice in the time I was gone because I filled it the morning I left. It ended up running the pump dry and breaking it. Now i don’t have a working pet fountain pump and have to wait two weeks for the new one to come. I paid for overnight but she didn’t have to end up staying overnight and when I mentioned this because it appeared she only spent an hour or two at my place a day, she accused me of essentially being a cheapskate and not valuing her time….When in fact she is the one who sets her rates. I agree that her rate is low but that’s what she set. The other Rover sitters in the area appear to be in the same price range. She left me in a pickle because 1.5 months after she agreed to the booking and 1.5 days before my flight, she tells me that she can’t scoop the litter due to her pregnancy. I hadn’t thought of this because I’ve never been pregnant. I feel she should have been more responsible when agreeing to this booking. I was flexible and allowed her husband to come and scoop the litter (I was gone for 6 days, which is too long to go without scooping.) but when I contacted her and she became hostile, she tried to manipulate the situation like she went out of her way for her husband to scoop the litter…when in reality she left me in a bind 1.5 days before my flight….There’s no way I could have found a sitter for 4 days in that amount of time in Dickinson; there’s only a couple sitters on Rover in Dickinson as it is… I chose Sharlette because I read great reviews on her and how she left the place in a cleaner state that when she arrived. She’s not a house keeper so I didn’t expect her to clean or anything, but it would have been nice if she could have swept the litter; cats spread litter and they had 6 days to spread it out and so it was a mess when I got back. On top of it I asked her to simply check if the laundry in the dryer was dry when she got there the first day and if it wasn’t 100% dry to turn the dryer on. I got back a week later to moldy laundry. When I mentioned this to her she said “it’s not my problem.” Twice. She really didn’t have much to do. And she didn’t do all of it. My cats liked her immediately and she definitely appears to get along well w animals. But I found her to be very inappropriate and manipulative and unprofessional after she made mistakes and I confronted her about them.

Sharlette did a fantastic job with our two pups. They had fun adventures and we were sent many pictures to keep us connected to them!
