Pet care experience
Animal lover and PAWS chicago volunteer and foster parent. Foster failed after 7 cuddly friends. Loads of patience, and lots of love to give. Would love the chance to walk, cuddle and play with your fluffy one! No breed restrictions, ALL are welcome. Ive always wanted to have a dog of my own, since my childhood love Shadow, passed, but at the moment have been unable to fulfill that dream. That's why this would be a great opportunity for me. I really excited and happy to help and provide some affection for these animals when needed and provide extra support and breakdown for you, the owner! :) Flexible arrangements can be made and Thanks for reading. I appreciated that Shante was able to provide last minute house sitting for my pup during a holiday weekend. She was flexible with a meet and greet and also communicated often. Unfortunately my dog had diarrhea once we left, likely stress induced. Shante communicated to us that he was having issues often, but didn't expand on whether she was looking for us to return home or had the situation under control. She sent us pictures of my dog's dirty backside and we advised on where to find cleaning and bathing supplies. The day we returned we let Shante know that she could leave anytime during the day as long as she kept our dog in the main living space and closed doors to bathrooms and bedrooms. We were surprised to return home to find poop smeared in many rooms, some of which he did not have access to between the time she left and we returned home.
Great photo updates gave me peace of mind and my cat loved her!
On time! Great with the dogs, especially my guy that’s shy. You can tell she’s a dog lover. Will definitely be using her again.

I am mindful of doors and exits for any potential escape artists. I am a pro at hide and seek with shy animals and meeting pets where they feel comfortable even if that means laying on the floor.

Let me know how your dog is around other dogs. should we cross the street, are introductions okay if the other owner approves? For cats it is helpful to know hiding places if they are shy but I can usually find them with a trick or two
A typical day
A typical day depends on the animal. I prefer to follow the pets normal routine. On walk routes that may look like going whichever direction they feel drawn to. For cats, meeting where they are. On the floor, under the bed and just sitting with them to make them comfortable.
