Pet care experience
Our beloved Sulley has passed due to old age and illness common in beagles. We keep his picture up to honor our beloved "grumpy grandpa" that liked to yell at everyone, play peace keeper for the other animals he was protecting, and generally protested the lack of food that his chubby self believed he should have (if you've ever known a beagle, then you understand this!). We do not have any breed restrictions but we do have size restrictions. We only watch large and extra large breeds that are 45 or more lbs ( think large Beagle sized or larger ). We believe there are bad owners, not bad breeds. If your fur baby is well behaved, good with other dogs and cats, they are welcome here! (Yes, that includes Pits. We think they're great dogs!)
Reviews
They always take such good care of our big baby, Xena. She has plenty of space to romp or take naps. Also appreciate the photo updates. 😀
Shannon and Mikayla were amazing! They took such good care of our dogs and updated us frequently. We will definitely be using them again!
Shannon and Mikayla were incredible sitters for our Velma. Velma is a 3 years old GSD and lab mix. She was happy at the drop off and pick up. We received periodic updates and photos during multiple weeks stay. They were very accommodating extending the stay for one day due to my flight delay. A pleasure to interact with them. Velma I was happy. Thanks
They took amazing care of our diva, Xena. Xena had plenty of space to romp around outside and was clearly loved for the entirety of her stay. No issues. We loved the periodic pictures and updates. Will definitely board with them again in the future. ???

We require a meet and greet prior to accepting any reservation. We do this to ensure the safest environment for both your furbaby and ours. We make no exceptions to this rule! Again, we do not have any breed restrictions but we do have size restrictions. We only watch large and extra large breeds that are 40 or more lbs ( think large Beagle sized or larger). We believe there are bad owners, not bad breeds. If your fur baby is well behaved, good with other dogs and cats, they are welcome here! (Yes, that includes Pits. We think they're great dogs!)
A typical day
There is lots of barking and sniffing when a guest dog arrives. Throughout the day, guest dogs can run and play in our third of an acre fenced in yard. Play games like fetch, catch the frisbee, find the ball, and tug of war with myself, Shannon, or my 19 year old daughter, "Sissy" (Mikayla to you non fur babies!). Our goal is to send your dog home tired, happy, and ready to enjoy the rest of her day with you! If your fur baby is spending the night with us, they will sleep in a quiet section of the house on their own bed/blankets or, if you prefer, in a crate. Please note that your pet will need to be up to date on their vaccinations as well as on their flea, tick, and heartworm treatments. Behind our property is a large wooded area that is owned by the city. This area has a rather diverse range of wildlife living in it despite us only being 2 miles from downtown. The animals that we have seen include deer, turkey, groundhogs, possums, squirrels, and a very diverse bird population. Due to the animal activity so close to our property, we frequently find fleas and ticks in the yard, so protection for your fur baby is a must!
