Shannon was great. My collie is extremely afraid of thunder storms. Shannon was patient, and caring. Coco came home looking great. I would recommend Shannon highly.

Shannon and her daughter were great sitters. They were very flexible in meeting times and careful to introduce all the other dogs. She also sent me pictures and and updates when I asked. Gracie did need a bath when I got her bath because she got very smelly from the other animals, but she seemed to enjoy not being alone.

We needed to book a sitter for our 2 dogs on short notice. Shannon replied to my message almost immediately and was incredibly accommodating with setting up a meet and greet quickly (the same day!). She has a large fenced-in yard and our dogs were comfortable there right away. Shannon & her daughter are obviously “dog people”. They were also flexible with drop off and pick up. Our girls were happy when we picked them ...

What Shannon would like to know about your dog

We require a meet and greet prior to accepting any reservation. We do this to ensure the safest environment for both your furbaby and ours.

When Shannon watches your pet

There is lots of barking and sniffing when a guest dog arrives. Invitations to play are made with the traditional play bow or the offer to join in on a game of tug or chase.

Throughout the morning, guest dogs will do what they like best in our third of an acre fenced in yard, including jumping, romping, and playing to their heart’s content. Organized games like fetch, catch the frisbee, find the ball, and tug of war will be run by myself, Shannon, or my 18 year old daughter, "Sissy" (Mikayla to you non fur babies!) Disorganized games with other dogs like chase me, and King of the Hill will also happen throughout the day, both outside and inside our home.

Doggie Nap Time comes each day around noon, and there are plenty of soft blankets, laps, and other dogs to snuggle with. Our goal is to send your dog home tired, happy, and ready to enjoy the rest of her day with you!

If your fur baby is spending the night with us, they will sleep in a quiet section of the house on their own bed/blankets or, if you prefer, in a crate.

Please note that your pet will need to be up to date on their vaccinations as well as on their flea, tick, and heartworm treatments. Behind our property is a large wooded area that is owned by the city. This area has a rather diverse range of wildlife living in it despite us only being 3 miles from downtown. The animals that we have seen include deer, turkey, groundhogs, possums, squirrels, and a very diverse bird population. Due to the animal activity so close to our property, we frequently find fleas and ticks in the yard, so protection for your furbaby is a must!
