Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Shannon, and I'm located in the Northville area and have a degree in Animal Science from MSU. I have many years experience in caring for all different kinds of dogs, from small to large and young to elderly. I have owned dogs before, and understand exactly what they need in order to be happy and healthy. I offer the services of staying overnight with your pup, dropping in as many times as necessary to take care of them, and dog walking. Cats and other animals are welcome too! I like to send lots of pictures and videos to the owner and give them recent updates about their pet. I am flexible with my schedule and am willing to provide your pooch with whatever they need! Please leave me a message telling me what you're looking for and the dates, or how frequently you'd like these services. I look forward to sitting your furry friends! :)
Reviews
Shannon is great! We have used her twice for our dog. We have an energetic pittie mix puppy and Shannon is great with her. She’s also responsive to texts and sends pictures and videos while she’s pet sitting. She’s respectful of ones home while staying there as well. You can easily see how much she cares for animals. I recommend Shannon for your pet sitting needs!
Shannon is very professional and she was even more educated on meeting our Akita who can be wary of strangers than we were. She has great communication and provided lots of photo updates. Shannon will always be a favorite in our house!
We love Shannon! She's a great dog sitter, always calm, and as she's an animal science major at MSU I always learn something from her every time she's here. Our dogs love her!
Awesome dog sitter! Shannon cares for every dog she comes into contact with and gives expert care. Very knowledgeable and knows how to properly train a dog - which is RARE in the dog world! I know I can always rely on her for either an evening when I'm gone or for an entre weekend. Will hire again!

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in whatever way they need me to. If there’s a pet that’s happiest running around and playing then we can do that! Or if they’re a snuggle bug I’ll make sure to cuddle with them as long as they want. I always keep the home as clean as when you left it.
Information Shannon S. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about the dog’s personality, and what they may or may not be comfortable with. If they’re good with other dogs, have any behavioral issues, or medical problems I should be aware about.
A typical day
Depending on the dog and its personality, there are a number of activities we could do. For an outgoing and energetic dog we might go for a walk in the park and play most of the day. For a shyer dog I’d like to build up trust first with training sessions with a lot of positive reinforcement and praise. Once the dog feels more comfortable we’ll do what they want to do, which might be a walk in a quieter area, or spend some quality time together with lots of belly rubs.

I’m currently working part-time so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I’m able to make my own hours, so with a heads up I can work around any petsitting.
