*** As of October 1, 2021, we are no longer able to host clients in our home for daycare or boarding for the foreseeable future. I will still be available for your drop-in visit and dog walking needs. *** Hi, my name is Shannon! I am a PSU graduate who moved to NC in 2021. I currently have a 7 year old, 35 pound, Australian Cattle Dog mix, who always loves to play with dogs her size (or smaller!). We have also have a 2 year old Black Lab “puppy”, Shark, who is now 110 pounds (and hopefully has stopped growing). My fiancé and I are used to an active lifestyle and we would make sure your dog gets the love and exercise he/she needs. My puppies are my world, but I would love to have more furry friends in my life. In the past I have volunteered at animal rescues and fostered many types of dogs. I have experience with small and large dogs, elderly dogs & giving oral medication to dogs. I also have experience with cats and other small animals as we had cats, bunnies and hamsters growing up.

Shannon made us feel so comfortable that our pup was well taken care of on her walk. She sent the best pictures and gave a really detailed account of the walk. We can’t wait to us her again.

My number one priority is to ease any concerns you may have while searching for a reliable dog walker. As a dog mama myself, I understand how difficult it may be to trust others with your pets and I hope to make that decision easier for you. I will follow all instructions given to ensure your pet is in their routine and if I am unsure about anything, I will not hesitate to reach out and ask questions for clarification. Before any booking, I do require a meet and greet to ensure your fur baby is comfortable. Please let me know if you’d like to schedule a meet and greet, I look forward to meeting you and your pet!

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs prior to their visit. It is important for me to be aware of the dogs temperament around new people or dogs and their reactivity on a leash.
A typical day
When visiting or walking your pet, it is most important to me that they are stimulated and given the attention they may desire after a day at home alone. If the dog would like, I love to walk at least half a mile, if not more, per visit to ensure proper exercise! I can also take the dog out to any special places as requested by the owner.

Availability
I currently work from home Monday-Friday from 8:30AM - 5:30PM, therefore, I am usually unavailable during those hours. I usually take lunch between 12-1pm so if you are located near downtown Cary, I may be able to squeeze in a walk or visit on my lunch! If you need any special needs, feel free to shoot me a message and I will try my best to accommodate. I would love to help you out with drop in visits or daily walks before or after I work during the weekdays! My availability is typically very open on the weekends unless otherwise noted.
