Fetch, Wag, Treat. Repeat!

Pet care experience

I am a tech at one of the local hospital and work night shift a couple times a week. Due to my availability constraints I am mostly doing walks and drop ins. I am happy to take care of any and all animals and have the most experience with cats and dogs, but some experience with other house pets. Most holidays I am always home and rarely have plans so I am more than happy to sit any pets during those times. If you have a question regarding whether or not I can sit for you just send me a message and we can work it out together! I want to make sure it is the best possible experience for both you and your pets! I also don't have any bars on any pets that I sit. I am more than willing to sit for any variety of pets as long as the needs and general maintenance are explained to me! I have pet sit several kinds of 'exotic' animals including snakes, birds and a variety of pets in the small mammal (rodent) family. In my professional experience as an EMT, I have learned about basic pet first aid and what to do in cases where a dog may need a little help. I am also a very detail-oriented and diligent person with a medical background. If your pet is on any medications that needed to be taken while I'm with your pet I am more than happy to do so. I will also make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise and attention while they are in my care.

Dogs happy to see us but also seemed very content. I could tell they were well cared for while we were away

Shannon was fantastic and went above and beyond! She provided lots of updates and made us feel very comfortable with leaving the house and our dog in her care. We will be using her again in the future!

Shannon did a great job taking care of our 6 dogs and 3 cats. We felt comfortable that they were in good hands and that gave us peace of mind while we were away.

Shannon was a great house and dog sitter! Our dog Major loved all the attention he got from her and she took great care of him!

Safety, trust & environment

I spend my day with your pets when I am house sitting and make sure that we go outside for walks or time in the backyard at least 3 times a day. If pups like to play fetch I will regularly gather up their balls in the yard so we can keep playing fetch whenever we want. For drop-ins I spend the entire allotted time with the pet taking them on a walk, providing their care and if I have extra giving them tons of attention.

Information Shannon R. would like to know about your pet

I don't have any breed preferences but with larger dogs (over 100 lbs) I'm a little more hesitant only because I want to make sure I can safely handle the dog.

A typical day

We will go on walks, hikes in nearby parks, dog parks (if the dog is okay around other dogs) and to beaches in the area.
