Pet adoring husband and wife duo

Pet care experience

Hi there! My husband and I work as a team to provide the best possible care for any of your furry friends. Shannon is a dog and cat adoring former veterinary technician with a background in medication administration and behavioral biology. Curtis is a long time per owner with a background in conservation ecology and a deep love for all living things. We both work from home with flexible schedules and we work together to service your needs from dog walking to house sitting. As for day to day life, we are early risers who can easily provide morning, afternoon, and evening care. Moreover, we are both very active individuals who enjoys running, hiking, and just about anything outdoors. We'd be more than happy to take your pup with us on these adventures. If your dog isn't the active type, that is okay too. We enjoy less-energetic activities where we can spend some quality time with the animals. Not only do we each have an immense love for all animals, canine friends especially, we also have lifelong collective experience caring for pets. Shannon formerly working in veterinary medicine and animal care. Since Shannon was young, she has worked caring for animals on farms, in grooming shops, and in a variety of veterinary medicine settings. Curtis grew up in Australia with multiple cherished pets including his dogs Jess and Kya and their beloved chickens. Don't sweat if your pup has some special needs, we are well adept at providing the highest quality veterinary care. Our skills include (but are not limited to) oral, aural (ear), optic, topical, and subcutaneous inject-able medication administration, first aid on superficial wounds and minor injuries, ear-cleaning, nail-trimming, oral-care, canine CPR, and proper bathing techniques. We am familiar with common canine poisons such as grapes, onions, chocolates, and ibuprofen and the signs that accompany poisoning scenarios, as well as the best course of action to treat these emergency situations. We have worked with dogs of all energy levels and are comfortable handling nervous, shy, and potentially fractious animals. You can rest knowing that our team is knowledgeable and familiar with all breeds, temperments, and ages of dogs is willing and excited to care for yours as we would our own.

Shannon is an excellent dog walker! She goes beyond the requirements to keep both Darby and me very happy, and Darby adores her. I would definitely recommend Shannon.

As with last time, Shannon and Curtis did a wonderful job with our two dogs (a lab and a pittie mix). We arrived back home to happy, contented dogs and a tidy home. They’re communicative, helper sitters that we would gladly use again.

Shannon and Curtis did a great job taking care of Obi. They took him on plenty of long walks, cuddled with him in the evenings, and send me tons of adorable picture and video updates. I’ll definitely be booking Shannon again when I need someone to care for Obi!

Information Shannon P. would like to know about your pet

We want to get to know your dog as well as we can during the time we spend together. Typical questions we might ask surround their general temperament (i.e. how energetic is your dog?), their nutritional needs (i.e. type and quantity of food, any allergies), their medical history (i.e. any current or pre-existing conditions to keep and eye on, any concerns you have currently), and their triggers (i.e. is their anything your dog is very reactive to that either overly excites them or scares them?)

A typical day

When your pup stays with us, they can go hiking, running, play fetch, and so much more. Additionally, we have spent many years training dogs both basic and advanced commands. If you have specific training you would like to work towards, that can be arranged as well.
