Pet care experience
I just graduated college with a psychology degree and animal studies degree, and interned at the New England Wildlife Center. I currently work at the VCA Animal Hospital in Weymouth full time. My work study program had me work with both dogs and cats in the kennel where I learned new skills everyday. I have trained a greyhound and two beagles in school and learned basic behaviors and methods to work with any and all types of dogs. I have house sat multiple times with dogs of different temperaments. I have a dog myself at home with a hearing disability and I learn new ways of communicating with him everyday. I have worked with dogs with separation anxiety, low amounts of aggression, nervous nellies, high energy, and many other behavioral issues. I am comfortable giving oral medications and topical medications as well. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I am constantly learning new techniques and acquiring new skills while at school and at work. I can also work with multiple dogs at once and enjoy my time I spend with all animals.
Reviews
Shannon was fantastic! We were 100% comfortable with her watching our dogs and home, will definitely be going back to her next time we leave town.
Shannon is awesome! My little puppy loved going out to play with her. Even though it was pouring rain she was a trooper and got him to go out to the bathroom (even though he didn’t want to!). She dried him off so he didn’t track all over the house when they came in and even played with him inside so that he got some exercise without freezing out in the rain. Would definitely recommend her to anyone! Felt great about her taking care of my little buddy and will definitely use her again!
Shannon was AWESOME! She took very good care of Lucy and Norman while we were away for a week. She sent along pictures so we knew how our buddies were doing and provided great peace of mind. We were able to truly enjoy our vacation knowing how well Lucy and Norman were being cared for. Will absolutely book Shannon again for our next getaway!
Shannon was amazing! She was able to fit us in on short notice and was accommodating to everything we asked for our puppy! She kept us updated with pictures and messages, which we loved getting at work. I highly recommend Shannon if you need someone to care for your pets, very knowledge and experienced as well!!! 10 stars!

I do not host pets at my home. I can come to you since i, myself have a dog at home with a doggy door. I do whatever you need at your house including late night walks, mornin and night feedings, medications and well as just giving lots of love and playtime!
Information Shannon O. would like to know about your pet
No preference on breed, I love any and all! I would like to know how much energy, preferable toys, certain places they like to go, if they like car rides, if aggressive at all, if nervous or scared. If aggressive or nervous i’d Like to know if the owner has any methods of calming them. I would also like to know a feeding schedule if one is necessary.
A typical day
Walking on hiking trails, parks, beaches, neighborhoods and more. Play with treat toys or dog puzzle toys. If a low energy dog: hang out outside if nice out, lounge around, do low energy play time but requires energy.
Services
Shannon can watch in your home
Availability
I work a full time job either 9-4 or 10-6 Tuesday through Saturday. So I can only watch overnights or do night time drop ins.
