I started dog sitting in fall 2018 for a few different neighbors and loved it so much that I signed up for Rover. I'm a dog mom of one and would love to help you with your pet sitting needs. I recently accepted a position working outside the home and as such, my availability has changed to mostly evenings and weekends as I now work full time. During the week I can do a drop in before work and come by after work and at bedtime, but your pet needs to be used to this as I cannot do a midday let out and I cannot do overnights during the week. I have over 35 years of experience with dogs of all sizes. Growing up we had an Australian Terrier and a German Shepherd. Throughout the years I've lived with a Chihuahua and several different cats. My current fur-baby is a mid-sized black lab mix. I've dog sat for all sizes, up to and including our neighbor's Great Dane!!!! My husband and I do not have human children and my dog is my child. As a result, I understand pet parents who want nothing but the best for their babies while they are away. I will do my best to care for your fur-family just as you would if you were home. I have tried to set rates that match with my experience level (35+ years) while taking into account I've been on Rover for about a year. Also, I decided to do the extended background check because I believe it's very important that you feel comfortable trusting me in your home and with your pets. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cats so I can't spend the night in your home if you have cats. I can do drop-in visits and don't mind scooping their litter. I just can't love on them like I do for my doggy clients! My base rates assume you are within my preferred radius. Unfortunately, Rover still allows clients outside that radius to send a request. Please send me location information, preferably your address (I'll need it for the meet and greet anyway) with your request so I can calculate exact distance and let you know if there is a rate adjustment needed.
