Pet care experience
Hello! I am a dog mom of 2, that would love to meet and care for your fur babies! I have about 15 years of experience with my own pets, having owned a variety of different animals. My husband and I currently have 2 dogs, Arya (husky) and Sakari (mutt). Arya is about 7 years old and was diagnosed as hypothyroid and diabetic about a year ago. Due to her conditions, she has lost some of her vision and requires both oral medication and insulin injections twice a day. While she is as happy and healthy as could be, he diagnoses caused me to become better equipped to care for special needs dogs. Having dogs that require special attention, I understand the burden it can be to find reliable and trustworthy individuals to care for your pets while you are away. I promise that if you choose me as a sitter, you would never have to wonder if you pets are in the wrong hands, as I would love and care for them as if they are my own! Shannon is wonderful! She went above and beyond to take care of our Golden Retriever. I know our fur baby was loved while we were out of town. Shannon is great with dogs of all kinds. She has had 2 active breed dogs of her own for several years and trains and cares for them daily. She would be great to dog sit, walk, or care for any dog.

I have a large fenced in backyard as well as baby gates throughout the house, in case your dog is not a fan of other dogs. One of our dogs is a rescue that came into our family with a lot of fear. She can be reactive to new people, animals, and new environments. If your pet has some of these same insecurities, I would do my best to create a space where they feel welcomed and comfortable within our home. If in a client’s home, I am always respectable of their space and will do my best to follow all of the clients individual care instructions for their pet(s).

A typical day
I love doing activities with dogs that are both mentally and physically stimulating for them! I would love to take your dog(s) on walks, run through the fields at a local park, work on their obedience training in new environments, or even go to the beach if time allows!

Availability
I work full time, 7:30AM-4PM, Monday-Friday. I am available from 12-1PM if needed to let your dogs out for a potty break or quick walk, but a majority of my availability would be in the evenings and weekends. I am available every night after 4PM and all day during the weekends. Contact me to set something up!
