Pet care experience
I have had animals all my life and can't imagine life without a pet. I have owned everything from guinea pigs to large breed dogs. I currently have 3 cats, and prior to moving to the area, I worked with Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue. As a foster mom, I specialized in caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. Friends and family know to call me if they have the need for a pet sitter, as I will give quality care to their furbabies!

Shannon was amazing with our two older pups! We when arrived back home after being gone for the weekend, you could tell they had been having a great time and were so comfortable with Shannon. We can’t wait (and I’m sure the pups feel the same!) to use Shannon again when we go out of town!
Shannon was awesome and managed to help me out for an extended weekend with watching my pup. She was great with my pup and ensured my dog was taken care of and gots lots of love. I’ll definitely use her in the future!

Our home is a large, ranch style home which makes it a good fit for any pets that have trouble using stairs. We have a fenced in back yard (some larger breeds or good jumpers may not be ideal for our yard, nut our neighborhood makes for great walks. I am not far from the Southern Pines dog park and there are multiple walking trails around me.

Please let me know if your animal has special medical needs, any kind of anxiety, favorite toys or pastimes, special diets and/or restrictions. I have specialized in fostering senior dogs in the past and can provide basic medical care to your pet.
A typical day
I love to walk the trails around town, and can also walk in your neighborhood (provided the area is safe to do so). I love cuddles and playing catch/fetch with your pet. I can also take them on car rides, swimming (if allowed by mom and dad!) and any other activities you like!

Availability
I am self employed and make my own schedule. I am fairly flexible with my hours and can work around your schedule. I will work with the pet owner to create the perfect schedule of care.
