I have worked with animals since I was 6 years old when I started riding horses. I have always had dogs growing up and now have two of my own, a tiny Maltese terrier and a large German Shepherd! I attend weekly dog training classes with a group of dogs and great trainers. That way, I am always learning more about proper engagement and training for dogs! I know the importance of quality exercise and engagement when it comes to our animals. I will be happy to help you maintain your work life or other duties without sacrificing the happiness of your loved pet.

In a clients home, I will ensure to follow any given rules and make sure the pet remembers the rules even while a visitor is in their home. As someone who is very specific about the care of her dogs, I am very understanding of details in order to keep the pet safe at all times. And happy! I can help with playtime, walks, potty breaks and feeding times. Let me know any routines and I’ll make sure to keep them on track. I also love to send photos and updates.

I would love to know how the dog warms up to new people and if there is any specific likes and dislikes. I want to know if the dog is comfortable with new people coming into the home. And of course, allergies, health concerns, medications if any.
A typical day
After I get to know the dogs a bit and they are comfortable with me, I love to play tug of war or fetch. If the dogs prefer a more relaxed time, I’ll be happy to just keep them company and cuddle! Practicing tricks is also great mental stimulation, depending on the personality of each dog. I love to take my dogs on trails and around the neighborhood. I am lucky enough to live walking distance to some great San Diego trails. With that said, I will stay within the dogs comfort zone whether that is around the neighborhood or in the yard.
