Pet care experience
I retired from my 9-5 and love animals, especially dogs! I grew up with dogs and puppies, a German Shepard/Lab mix and then later a miniature poodle. We currently have a lovely Cattle Dog mix we got from Three Rivers SPCS in Madras. His name is Wyatt. I'm happy to walk your small to mid sized baby! I also have experience taking care of small livestock like chickens and goats.

In home, we can only take on a small dog for over night stays. They should be potty trained if not a puppy who may still be working on this skill. Our yard is not fenced but we have a large pen that formerly kept our goats safe and we put our dog in during the day sometimes.

I'd like to know if the dog has any health conditions before sitting or even walking. It is pretty hot in the summer in this part of the country so I wouldn't want to over heat a pup. Also, I am not a large person so I prefer dogs 35 lbs or smaller in general unless they are a good leash walker over that weight.
A typical day
We can walk around the neighborhood or find a park. My husband loves to play fetch with dogs. Our dog doesn't seem to understand the concept so having a visitor who does would be great. Depending on the dog's recall, we could play fetch and work on basic commands like sit, stay, or lie down. I think it is important to engage their brains with simple tricks.
