Pet care experience
I've spent my entire life around dogs. I have spent time doing obedience with my 7 year old Labrador Retriever, Moose... I'm hooked! I've worked professionally with horses for over 39years. I've found many aspects that are very similar between caring for and handling dogs and horses. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking with my Labrador. And weather does not bother me. Rain, shine or snow, I'll be out there. I'd be happy to spend time doing some hiking with your pups. Possibly teaching new commands if desired and showing you how to do the same. Fetch, tug-o-war, tag or simply just cuddling and loving on your pet. Your pets will be taken care of as if they were my own bundles of furry joy.

Our dog liked Shannon right away. She fed him and walked him like we asked. We loved the text message and photo she took while she was at our home caring for our fur baby.
Shannon was excellent! She sent us updates and pictures daily which was very nice and helped to eliminate some of our anxiety around leaving our animals and our home in someone else’s care. Shannon was very professional and responsive. We came home to two happy pups and three healthy chickens! We will be using Shannon for our future dog/house sitting needs :)

I have a a fenced back yard and a larger, separate wooded fenced yard. The boys get plenty of exercise for sure! When they are indoors they have access to several dog beds to lounge on or the sofa. At times Otter needs to go to his crate for nap time if there are other dogs here besides he and Moose. In my clients home I spend time with their pups outdoors, playing and hanging out.

I would like to be able to visit with the owners/dog(s) before taking on any job. Dogs with Dog aggression I will not deal with outside their home. Biters, nippers are a no go for me.
A typical day
Walking and hiking. Play time with their toys and even some basic obedience commands if you so wish. Do they need a ride to the groomer? I'd be happy to take them if they are scheduled during a check-in or stay over. And don't forget the snuggles and hugs they love so much!
