Pet care experience
Hi I am Shannon! I have had dogs my entire life and most have been fostering from time to time for Paws Across Pittsburgh for the past three years. Having a revolving door of fosters has given me experience with so many different breeds and ages of dogs and learning to read their emotions and needs. We have two 40/45lb mutts who are all play and welcome all doggie visitors into our home, but also have plenty of room to separate for down time or if older dogs need their space. We have a large fenced in yard so there is plenty of room to run and play. My husband works from home full time and I do three days a week so there is always someone home to let the dogs out during the day. I can do drop in visits/walks in the evenings and weekends depending on proximity to my house.

My 6 month old puppy stayed with Shannon at her house for 5 days and she was in great hands! She sent updates and my dog had lots of fun playing with her 2 dogs in their giant fenced in yard. Thank you Shannon for taking such great care of her.
Our Jax had never stayed with anyone but family. We needed someone to help us because our daughter was getting married and all our family was at the wedding. I knew upon immediately meeting Shannon that she would take great care of Jax being a loving pup parent herself. Her and her husband’s home is pet friendly with an awesome fenced backyard. Shannon cared for Chloe as if she was one of her own dogs. Chloe seemed to have a great time with her two dogs too!

Depending on your dogs temperment/age they get free roam of the house while we are at home and can sleep in the bedroom with us if that’s what they are use to! If we ever leave we make sure the dogs are separated either by a crate or shut in a separate room .
