Pet care experience
Animals have been a part of my life since I was born. I grew up in a household full of dogs and cats and currently have 3 cats and just got a puppy a few weeks ago! Animals are a huge part of my family. My oldest sister is a veterinarian and owns the vet clinic two doors down from where I live, providing a sense of security if there is a medical emergency for my pets or clients. I first got involved in animals when I was in high school as an active member of FFA. I raised swine to sell and show them at the local fairs. I started as an animal science major but graduated in 2016 from Washington State University with a bachelor's in Psychology. Post graduation I enrolled in PIMA Medical Institute and received my veterinary assistant certification. I worked at VCA Redwood Animal Hospital in Redmond for 2 years! I was an animal care technician/vet assistant which has given me experience in blood draws, nail trims, ear treatments, grooming, radiographs, lab work, and animal restraints as well as experience feeding/administering medications to dogs/cats that are young, geriatric, or recovering from surgery. My passion and experience make me the perfect qualified, reliable, and friendly pet sitter for you and your pets!

Shanna was so warm and friendly with my pup! I could tell they would get along in an instant and I felt very comfortable leaving my 1 year old German Shepard with her. I could tell he was happy and got so much attention, was well fed, and bathed! Thank you Shanna for taking care of Jax, we'll be in touch again!

I have a fenced backyard. I also have 3 spare rooms downstairs I can use to isolate a dog or cat if needed. I have a large dog crate as well as a caged play pin in my living room. My puppy is friendly and used to being around other animals. Any dogs I host must be okay around cats as I have 3 of them in my household.

I love all breeds and sizes! I would like a warning if he or she is aggressive about certain things. Likes and dislikes. How they do around other cats and dogs. Anything that will help make the experience positive for the animal.
A typical day
Going for walks around the neighborhoods—fun activities like playing fetch, and playing with their toys with them. Snuggle time! Lots of petting. Can brush and give them a bath if needed. If a friendly dog will be able to socialize/play with my 4-month-old Goldendoodle.

Availability
I currently work remotely Monday-Friday which allows me to give more attention to your pets morning, afternoon, and night! I already have to feed my 4 animals morning and afternoon and since I just got a puppy I have to take my dog out for frequent potty breaks.
