I make my own schedule and work as little or much as I like, so have plenty of availability for your pet. In some cases I can even take him or her with me. The sooner you let me know of your need the better, but I do take immediate clients when available.

I can come to your home or bring your pet to mine. I live in a townhome in the city with a small gated backyard. None of the neighbors nearest me have dogs. Animals are allowed on furniture in my home. They’re my guests. I prefer to walk in woodsy areas but if you prefer your animal stay on paved surfaces that’s fine too.

A typical day
What activities I’ll do with your pet will depend on how long I’ll be with your pet and what type of pet. For dogs getting more than just a walk, I’ll work on basic commands, let them play with a logic puzzle, fetch. For cats I’ll use string/ribbon. Lazer pointers work great for both. I’ll look to you for suggestions on what specific activities your pet likes but especially if you have a different type of pet. I enjoy hiking so it’s possible they’ll join me for one or two. Last but certainly not least as much cuddles and pats as they like.

Pet care experience
I grew up with all kinds of animals. Family friends would jokingly refer to our house as “The Zoo”. Dogs (large and small), guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, fish, baby rabbits, lizards, a snake, and a bird. The rabbits and snake didn’t stay long but they were there, so it counts. Starting in 2013, I had the pleasure of loving and training my first fur-baby as an adult, Blu. He was a 75lb cane corso pitty mix and the bestest boy. Since he passed in 2023, I’ve cared for, trained, walked, and housed dogs through Rover, Dogs on Deployment, and rescue. I’ve worked with aggressive dogs, dogs on medication, and dogs in need of basic training. Some compliments I’ve received are, “Fosters like her are the unspoken heroes…Your foster is lucky to have her” and “..stellar foster”. Until I’m ready for another furbaby of my own, I’d appreciate the chance to care for yours. Feel free to inbox or call me with any questions.

Shanisa was amazing with our mini goldendoodle! She provided a ton of picture and video updates, was super responsive to all of our chats, and treated our baby like she was her own - to the point where our pup looked so sad when she left! They went on car rides and walks, and Shanisa gave Mav all the cuddles she wanted.
