I have a lifelong love for animals, especially dogs. I enjoy caring for them and providing safety, grooming, training, walking and most important love. My love for caring for canines began in 2009, a neighbor and friend hired me to tend to her dog while away. I was specifically chosen for this duty due to the fact that her dog was aggressive and many other people were afraid of him. I showed him no fear and continued to shower him with love and care, he eventually fall in love with me and I’ve been his walker ever since. My pursuit for dog care didn’t stop there; I decided to adopt a dog of my own. Through that experience I learned basic behaviors of a dog and the best way to care for his daily needs. I taught myself how to fully groom him and train him with the help of the internet, I was successful. With my passion for dog continued growing as I learned more about care and handling, I was determined to put my skills to use; in 2015 I became a volunteer at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center of NYC. I received official in shelter training that involved learning and identifying different dog behaviors and how to deal with it, sickness identification and how to physically handle multiple size dogs and multiple dogs in one location. Through these multiple experience I am confident that I am the right contender for this position and look forward to putting my skills to use.
